    Went for lunch today with my wife and an Australian relation temporally working in the area. Very few people eating and the chef had to come in to open the kitchen! It was shortly after 12 and we were not in a rush so not a problem for us. Reduced menu but could not believe the prices - incredibly cheap. We ordered 2 gammon & egg and a lasagne - due to the price we were expecting a small lunch time portion. We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived!! The plates were massive and completely full. The gammon was large, well cooked, succulent, tender and extremely tasty - I could not fault it. The lasagne was also excellent, as was the large side salad. The meal was enhanced by a well kept and perfectly served pint of John Smith's - oh how I wish I still lived in Yorkshire!! The staff were friendly, attentive and appreciated our positive remarks. The value, quality and size of the meal completely overshadowed the slight delay and an almost empty dining room. When I return to visit my relation, I will definitely eat at Cromwells.

    First time eating food from Cromwell’s was a delivered Sunday dinner and it was incredible! We had two adult carvery’s delivered, the portion was great, the food was delicious and well worth the money, we haven’t felt up to going out for dinner and couldn’t be bothered to get everything in to cook one so decided to try Cromwell’s Sunday dinner and it was a hit! We will definitely be going to visit the restaurant to try some other food options after this experience.

    Such a beautiful quaint little Pub in the heart of Conisbrough that’s steeped in History. The food is incredible and Landlady Becky is well known for her amazing buffets and Sunday lunches, but the menu has a wide range of beautiful hot and cold food. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area

    A nice pub with friendly bar person but customers were smoking drugs outside which put me off a bit. Empty glasses seemed to not be cleared away very quickly although the pub looked clean and well presented. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area and looking for a locals pub.
