I found the staff at Halfords so wonderfully helpful and with a great sense of humour. One expects staff in a store to be courteous, but the shear helpfulness felt quite tangible and left me with a warm feeling that the staff had been genuinely pleased about my visit. Well done Halfords, first class service.
Poor customer service. Firstly, went to purchase a bike. Waited a while as no staff in the bike area. On asking somebody downstairs if there will be anyone that can help, staff member responded very rudely and abrupt telling us the staff member was on their break and that we would "just have to wait".. Staff member came back from his break and came to help- Was sizing up a bike for my 14year old and was told to get a small mens bike, which i challenged (it wasnt much bigger than the kids Large one he already had)- Staff then went to finish his break.. Waited for the bikes to be unhooked from the chain so my son could sit of the bike properly- Was told by the first rude staff member that he wont be unhooking the bike and they are not to be tested for sizing and not built properly. (What a liar) Following day, went back to try the bike and give feedback on the poor customer service. Spoke to a man called Arran who was really helpful and resolved the issue- He unhooked the chain and sized the bike for my son- Needed a Medium adults bike as i suspected. Secondly, Fast forward 5 months, took the bike back for a repair, was told it would be £50 and shouldnt be anymore. Got a call to say bike was ready to collect. Went to get it and was charged more than £50. I asked why i wasnt called before doing work on the bike if it was more than quoted- Was told it was an "estimate" and it says on my invoice i was called and answered--Yes to tell me the work was completed and the bike was ready for collection. When collecting the bike, staff member had me waiting at the desk for 10 minutes whilst he was gassing with a woman about home life- Nothing relevant to halfords or the products they sell. -The staff member told me he was sorry about the issues from today- but sounded sarcastic to me!
Had such a wonderful experience at Halford in Huddersfield. A guy name BEN went beyond to help me as I was struggling to find something for my car which was broken down in the middle of the road near Texaco. Ben was so nice, helped me out and I am highly thankful for his help. Thanks once again Ben!!!

Google's with my reg what headlight bulb I need. Find it but ask them to double check at the counter as their screen not working at the bulbs. Told I had the wrong one. Was a bit miffed but guy goes off and I'm given another one. The wrong size completely!!! Absolute joke. I'm now having to drive to work tomorrow with a headlight out.
They fitted a replacement bulb to my car without an appointment. I just turned up and they did it straight away. I think that's pretty good service.
Absolutely abysmal service. I used the Cycle2Work scheme to buy a nice electric bike and a load of safety equipment. I ordered it for today (Sunday 27/11/22). When my grandad drove me in, I got told that it didn't arrive in the usual Saturday delivery and that I should've received a call or voicemail - of course I received absolutely nothing. I got told I would have to wait until Wednesday now. I'm only less furious because this didn't cost me £700 out of pocket, or I would have been absolutely fuming. Once I get my bike (if I even get it), I am never coming back.
Purchased 2 £400+ bikes in 3 week period quality of the bikes are superb.The in store telephone service was extremely unhelpfull. i rang asking if an order was ready the lady wanted the order number which i didnt have, she wouldnt entertain trying to look up my order any other way at all. good product very unhelpfull customer service!
