   A proper gem of a pub. Friendly, accommodating staff and welcoming locals, with well-kept beer that’s always on form. Ideal for a quick pint after the Trans Pennine Trail. The kitchen turns out excellent food, the steak pie and pizzas are especially good. At the minute, food’s Thu-Sat only, this may vary so check Facebook for the latest opening and serving times, plus what’s on the specials menu!

   My favourite village pub! I maybe biased as I live here but Jackie and Jason provide the warmest of welcomes. Fantastic friendly atmosphere and a great drinks selection. The pizzas are awesome! I can’t recommend enough.
