    Had a gorgeous Sunday lunch here, great stuffing and tasty home made meal. After a couple of Gins served by a lovely, friendly lady we all sat out the back in the attractive beer garden and had some fantastic cocktails try the Chocolate Martini absolutely gorgeous.     The triathlon club i am a member of train nearby. We use the hills for running around the woodman and several times have had a post workout pint in there. Always reasonable. Decent real ales and a wide selection of spirits plus a few non alcoholic drinks. This evening they dedicated a room for us for our post workout pre christnas chat and drink, made us decent beef sandwiches and roast potatoes. One of my favourite workouts and a decent pub to relax in afterwards.

    A fantastic local pub with a very homely atmosphere. The owners make you feel very welcome and staff service is polite and friendly. A great selection of Gins for the ladies & Gin nights are a must when they're on! Sunday lunches are great & there's weekly events with quiz nights Friday night bands . There's a great little beer garden at the rear and seating on the front. This pub is dog friendly and also has a pool table. A great , clean and homely comfortable local pub.
