Lovely little pub where I've been many times, but first time eating there. No photos, as the food was so good I was determined to tuck in and forgot. Excellent drinks selection and the food and drink are all favourably priced. The staff were all absolutely amazing and the regulars were lovely too. We only went for Sunday lunch and ended up staying for about 4 hours.

Drank many a pint in here over the years and it’s alright though clearly suffering post-covid. The Barnsley bitter was crap this visit - likely due to stagnant barrel so beer management may need looking at. Good pool table but those playing brought the game into disrepute with lack of any skills. Seems to be missing something but nicely done out - clearly struggling to recapture its glory days as one of Sheffield’s premier pubs.

Good traditional street corner city centre pub close to Sheffield train station. Choice of three real ales. My blond companion Madge had a pint of Stancill Blond. The Barnsley bitter was also on sale along with Bradfield Farmer's Blond. Did not eat but looks like good value with Sunday roasts looking tempting. The pub has a side extension conservatory and a good beer terrace for about 20. Also a few seats in front on the pavement. Been to many Red Lions; the most common pub name in the UK. This is a good one.

Lovely pub, cheap food and you get plenty of it, the Chef knows his stuff, makes a lovely yorkshire pudding and take my advice: go for pork for the Sunday lunch! The crackling is Brilliant! It's nice to go for a local pub instead of a green king or such chains so for a full plate at low cost with good taste? Can't pass this one by!

Great traditional city centre pub with beer garden, good selection of beers and friendly service making a great atmosphere. Very good Covid precautions being taken including hand sanitizer station in entrance, temperature taken, track and trace information taken and table only service. Recently called in for Sunday dinner, choice of beef, chicken or pork which is what I had. Cooked to perfection and piping hot, there was a choice of two desert's but after my very ample main course I passed on desert. I highly recommend calling into The Red Lion for it's great atmosphere, hosted by Gary and staff.
