   Decent pub for football and a good pool table. They don’t take cards though and some of the locals could do with a bag of edible crayons to munch on. Remember back in the day they use to do lock-ins most weekends - it’s only now I realise that it was primarily to protect the local community. Still, there’s a lot worse pubs about and will likely return.

   This place is just great. I was attending a funeral close by, & booked this place for a gathering & food afterwards. Right from the off, they filled me with confidence that we were in good hands. The amount of food set out was just huge, but it had the quality to go with the quantity. It had it all. Roast beef, chicken, pork, even beef dripping breadcakes. The pickle tray in particular was awesome. I've been to some really well regarded Indian restaurants that could learn a thing or two from this place. The good crowd of old timers in the place were really friendly too. Nothing not to like, great place run by great people.
