I recently visited this place for a festive meal, and it was fantastic! The food was top-notch, full of flavour, and beautifully presentedβdefinitely my number one priority when I go out. The staff were super friendly, from the warm welcome to the prompt service; they really made the whole experience special. I also appreciated the little touches, like checking in on our meal and offering dessert. Iβll definitely be back for more celebrations!

If I could give it no star I would, the staff are so rude. The roast was undercooked, carrots and parsnips are hard. Gravy is flavourless and watery. We got a teaspoon of cauliflower cheese on our plate when it states on the menu a serving. Also the server leant over my food and put his arm in my food whilst passing another plate over and slammed the plate on the table and walked off huffing. We complained to the waitress and she got the manager. The manager was so rude and patrosnising. She laughed at us whilst walking away. If I owned this establishment I would hire a new manager ASAP. The kids meal was over cooked and the chicken was grey, it's a choking hazard for a child. I would highly recommend to avoid this pub - waste of time and money. Whilst we are waiting for a resolution the staff were all staring at us, it's not about the money it's the principle. The manager never came back to our table and went on her break. We asked the staff for a refund for the kids meal and they gave us a rolled up Β£5 note maybe the staff should wait to do that untill they finish their shifts explains the rudeness.

Had the vegetarian gnocchi and it was great to see something on the menu for a vegetarian that is a little different, and my partner had the burger. Service was good, food was tasty, just a bit odd as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Saturday night so the atmosphere was a little lacking!

By far the best roast Iβve ever had! I ordered the Guinness-braised cheek and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender β you could eat it with just a fork. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the Yorkshire pudding was huge, and the gravy tied everything together beautifully. We ordered an extra pork shire pudding to share and that was also tasty! I also had a virgin colada (a bit of an unusual choice with a roast!) but it was surprisingly delicious too.

Great local pub with a fantastic carvery on a Sunday. Two vegetarian options as well, which is rare but very much appreciated! Would absolutely recommend the nut roast.

my favourite pub in crookes, the food is great and the pies in particular are so delicious! really lovely cocktails and a good selection of beers. staff are friendly and there are a few card/ board games to play! Usually very busy but that goes to show how great it is! Have been going for years and the last year the punch bowl has got even better!

We've visited the Punchbowl a few times for Sunday dinner and have always left very full and very impressed. The menus have a great selection, and the staff are attentive and really friendly. It's definitely our go-to place in Sheffield for a roast- especially for the delicious Yorkshire puddings!

It's essentially my local, but not always of choice as it's fairly busy too (but that's a good sign). Food isn't cheap, but it's very good. I've only had one time where I wasn't asked what we wanted for dessert and by the time we asked, we were told it was too late! We took our Β£20 tip back before it was noted. It is very nice here and staff are usually very engaging. Must book for a Sunday lunch soon as we hear good things.

On the hunt for the best roast dinner in Sheffield? This is definitely a contender! Pork and lamb were both super tender, all the veg was well cooked a complimented the meal. And you know itβs good when you donβt even have to ask for extra gravy. A proper good roast - check it out.
