Always a great atmosphere in 2025 including tonight. A good mix of locals watching footie, playing pool and cut chatting.

Came over a weekend afternoon and it wasn't crowded then. It was our first visit here, but the ambience and staff were very welcoming. Food and service were pretty nice as well. Would definitely come here more often.

Only been in on a weeknight before so can't comment on how busy it is on weekends. Good beer selection and Guinness is well kept. Has a pool table which is £2 for 3 games. Barman was nice as well. All in all feels like a good community pub finally finding a bit of success after facing demolition around 2017.

The new landlady's have done an amazing job bringing this pub back to life. Really great buzz and a community feel. Sport on for peope who want to watch it and a pool table/darts. Great selection of drinks and really reasonably priced. The bar snacks are top notch too. The homade chicken Samosas (£2) and Nachos (only £3.50!) were amazing and cant wait to try the rest of the menu. They do hot roast sarnies on a Sunday too! Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced food and we received it in good time. No complaints. Would return again.

Looks an interesting place but isn't even open on a Saturday night. What a disappointment. The proprietor should update the opening times on Google.

I was going to pop in and check this pub out on a wet and windy evening while walking down Carterknowle Road. Unfortunately, there was a large sign on the door stating 'cash only'. Not having any cash on me and only cards, I could do nothing more than turn on my heel and continue on my walk. The people inside the pub seemed happy enough though...

Great community pub with strict but not unpleasant covid precautions in place. Not a real ale pub but that doesn't mean you shouldn't drop in for one!
