   I’ve held off on writing this review to make sure my results weren’t “accidentally” lost (I’ve had a company do that before as I made a complaint). I was due to have tests here that involved eating a portion of food. I have specific dietary requirements after having been very very unwell. I emailed the clinic in advance and they confirmed they would be able to meet them and even told me what products they would make available to me. Unfortunately when I got there they had none of them. It was apparently a total surprise to them and they then went and got 2 items - both of which contained ingredients I am not meant to have. As I was so desperate to have the test and find out what was wrong I felt I had to pick one and stupidly did so rather than stand up for myself and insist they do what they had agreed. I was then very upset for the duration of the test as I was petrified one of them items I ate was going to make me unwell again and spend an hour in tears due to how distressed I was. Over the last 2 years of being unwell I unfortunately have experienced some very shoddy care from both the public and private sector which has led to me having medical trauma. While this incident did not cause it, it had certainly not helped and has helped destroy any remaining trust I had left of the profession. To add insult to injury this is something I personally will be paying for not my insurance. So I have essentially been paid to be distressed by the clinics utter lack of care which is just fantastic. In addition to this I have now found out that they went behind my back and made me out to be some sort of basket case to my consultant - because of their shoddy behaviour ! I will be having a chat with them before handing over any cash that’s for damn sure.

   I visited yesterday to have Oesophageal Manometry and 24-hour pH and Impedance tests, I found the premises very easily from Google maps. The staff were welcoming, professional and informative, answering every question that I had and helping me relax during the procedures. The whole process only took 30 minutes, I found it slightly uncomfortable but not unbearable. I've had to deduct 1 point as the parking was absolutely terrible, I understand that it is a city centre and knew we would struggle but it was so bad my husband had to drop me off and go looking for any parking spot he could find, he'd managed to find one just as I was finished in the clinic. So my advice is if you need to park get there early and be prepared to walk, especially if you want your partner/friend to accompany you.

   Sam and his team provide an fantastic service at their Manchester clinic. The costs are very fair for the level of service they provide especially as they are so specialist. The care the team provides to their patients is great and we've really felt they actually care about my partner. We have been using their service for over 12 months now and have never been let down by them. Private medical care isn't for everyone, but for my partner it might have actually helped save her life. Thank you Sam and the team!
