   Police stop during test drive → £100 fine + 3 points I test‑drove an MG at Arnold Clark Huddersfield. The keys were given to me by Kapre. The windscreen had dealership stickers. During the drive I was stopped by the police and issued a £100 fixed penalty and 3 points. I reported this to the Arnold Clark and followed up repeatedly between 17/08/2025 and 12/11/2025. The final response blamed me and did not address the impact or how this will be prevented. Based on my experience, I’m not satisfied with safety checks or duty of care at this branch, and the customer service is appalling at Arnold Clark.

   I booked my vehicle in for a service and MOT, and when I collected it, I immediately noticed that the driver-side storage compartment had been broken. I raised this with staff straight away and was told the CCTV would need to be checked. After weeks—eventually months—of chasing for an update, I was finally told that a replacement part was being ordered. To cut a long story short, no part ever arrived. I had to escalate the issue to the store manager after months of frustration. Throughout the entire process there was absolutely no accountability, ownership, or integrity from the staff involved. I eventually had to have the replacement part sent to my home address and pay for the fitting myself. I have never experienced anything like this at any other Arnold Clark branch. There was zero customer service, no effort to resolve the issue properly, and I didn’t even receive an apology. Deeply disappointing experience from start to finish.

   Massive shout out to Brad, who’s just been so patient with me selling my car. Super friendly, funny and thorough and made the process super easy and I’ve left with 0 questions as everything was explained perfectly. A credit to the company and I would recommend over and over again. Definitely ask to speak to Brad when visiting this branch! Thank you Brad, and for one final time… I’m sorry!

   I obtained a valuation for our Nissan Juke from Arnold Clark in Huddersfield & was called back by Nicholas to discuss price with me. He was very polite & helpful & assured me that the price quoted online was guaranteed for 7 days & would not be reduced unless there was some damage I'd not declared. We went over the following day to discuss it with him & arranged to take the car 2 days later when we were collecting our new car. As this branch of Arnold Clark don't sell brand new cars we'd ordered ours from a garage nearby. Nicholas even took us to the garage to pick up our new car.......Service doesn't get any better than that. Well done Nicholas & Arnold Clark.

   I visited Arnold Clark today on Leeds Road and just want to say a massive thank you to Nick for his time and expertise whilst helping me look for my first car. I didn’t manage to find what I was looking for however I was still made to feel valued, Nick gave me a follow-up call later in the day to check on my progress which I appreciated. The manager of the store was friendly and also thanks to the car genie who came along on my test drives - I hope to return some day.

   Due to retiring from work, I needed to sell my car, which is now surplus to requirements. Arnold Clark made me an offer I was very pleased with. Nick McQueen looked after me, he made the whole process a very pleasant experience. He made sure I understood all aspects of the transaction and was very friendly and helpful. Happy I used Arnold Clark, in 10 years dealing with them I have not been able to find a single fault.
