I visited last night after my stitches reopened when I was at work. All staff from when I arrived was really friendly especially the triage nurse Eve who was so kind and caring. Any question wasn’t too much trouble and the professionalism throughout was amazing If I have any problems I would come again.

I visited the centre last night and the staff, although at capacity and extremely busy, were superb. Although extremely busy I was seen by the triage nurse quickly. Unfortunately though it seems that there were a lot of time wasters there. My reason for saying this is the number of names that were called several times, up to 4 times in most cases, the patients had left, obviously couldn't be bothered waiting. This was infuriating because they didn't have the good manners to tell the receptionist that they were leaving thus wasting the time of the very busy staff. One patient who was sat behind me had her name called at least four times, very clearly, but didn't acknowledge the nurse and then had the temerity to complain to the receptionist that she hadn't been called. Perhaps call the patients name twice and if they don't respond then leave it but log all actions for an audit trail. I work in the NHS myself and know how frustrating it is when patients fail to attend appointments that they have agreed to which is basically what this is and why I am pointing it out. Other than this the centre is staffed by brilliant, patient and very professional staff who go above and beyond to treat everyone fairly and with respect. Thank you.

Got treated for a tetanus jab within 10 minutes of arrival after a&e left me waiting over 4 hours then telling me there’s likely another 8 hour wait before I eventually gave up and left. Came here the following morning and I wish I did that in the first place. The woman on reception was lovely and friendly. Highly recommend! Thanks

I have just returned from a visit to the walk in centre where my daughter needed treatment for two ear piercings that had become very infected. The two nurses ( I think) who treated her were incredible and were able to remove both piercings. My daughter was clearly in a lot of pain and very distressed but they just kept her calm and worked wonders! I cannot thank them enough - you were fab! Thank you!

DISGUSTED - Walk in Centre Leigh - my husband went in this morning to an empty waiting room to check his injured foot as may have fractured it due to running accident - but he was turned away as soon as they called him in - they would not check it as it didn't happen within 2 weeks and therefore they cannot look at it! What??!!? My husband is in pain. Called the NHS number and they advised for us to go back to the walk in and demand to be seen - I'm totally angry and happy to go back but husband decided to go private instead! Shameful and an empty waiting room too!!

I went in on Friday evening with an ankle injury and was told there were no xray techs in so it would be advice only which I was happy wo wait for, got seen very quickly and was told I'd need an xray, so come back the next day. The following day I came back for the xray, it was very busy and had a 4 hour wait for other patients, but I got sent straight to xray. After the xray I was told to wait in the general waiting room and waited over 5 hours to be told I do have a Fractured ankle, now I understand its not the staffs fault they're underfunded, but the sign saying people get seen in order or urgency and nor arrival time annoyed me, I've been sat uncomfortably with no pain meds with a Fractured ankle and people were getting seen left right and center whilst I waited for confirmation it was Fractured, I guess they hadn't checked the xray until they saw me, but I still think if someone comes in for a suspected fracture, you could take 2 mins out to have a quick look Anyway, staff were all friendly and put up with a lot of rude patients who had no patience, ironically, I was given a boot to wear and some minimum, basic advice and told I'd be contacted by tuesday/Wednesday by a fracture specialist, its not the following Monday and I've heard nothing from anyway, thought I'd leave a quick review whilst I'm getting thier number 4 stars overall but that's because I feel bad for NHS staff and its free, otherwise it'd be 1 star

Reception staff nice and friendly. As for treatment, shocking. Asked reception if I could get my foot x-rayed as I have a large swelling around an old surgical site, so to me it looks like a screw is working its way out. Once I got to the triage woman is where the problems started, she said I can't have an x-ray "because they're only set up for new acute injuries like sprains and things". What kind of sense does that make? I asked for clarification and she said "oh they won't do it they're dead strict". She didn't even bother to ask to look at my foot. What a terrible nurse she was, I should have gotten her name, if the managers are reading this, then the woman seen me around 15:30 on 31/10/22. Seems like the don't want to actually do their job and just try to get rid of you.

I cannot praise this place enough I attended recently & was amazed at the fast service I received. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and I felt went out of their way to help. I missed calls from the doctor as I was driving home on the motorway so was unable to answer my phone. I rang the walk in centre back & explained and they contacted the doctor again on my behalf. This was about 5 mins before they were due to close & still I didn’t feel like a burden to them. This is the best NHS service I’ve received. I won’t hesitate to make this my first stop next time I need medical help. 5***** service & 5***** staff.
