    First dental was my last resort after my own and all other dentists couldn't or wouldn't help. Wendy who took my call was so friendly and asked if I was in pain, which I was. She got me in the next day for a check up!! After just leaving with a plan to go back in three days for treatment I honestly am so thankful. What a friendly bunch of people. Outstanding service.

    Not the best dentist to start with - had to have the same filling replaced several times, then the tooth removed completely. Scale and polishes were always only half done. Receptionist seems to have failed charm school. Missed a few appointments due to illness and have now been thrown off their list after 30 years. Do they want ill people turning up at the surgery spreading disesases? Not a safe environment. Edit: No, YOU have got the wrong person. I was registered here since 1994 and have attended many times for different treatments. The fact that you can't even identify the correct person and are happy to publicy post details of their treatments - not a safe environment.

    My husband and I have been patients of Mr Power for some years now and have always received excellent kind, caring treatment from him and all of the staff at First Dental. Following my annual checkup last week, I was dismayed to be told that Mr Power is retiring in September and we will no longer be treated by him. I'm sure the new dentist that we will be seeing will be equally as good and would like to take this opportunity to wish Mr Power a long and happy retirement, he will be much missed by patients and staff

    The receptionist (name unknown) contacted me this morning to advise that my morning appointment had to be cancelled for the second time due to illness, which I accepted but attempted to discuss further to ascertain a time for rescheduelle. Her mannerisms from the offset were negative, her tone of voice was aggressive. It appeared she could not hear me clearly, although I could listen to her. She proceeded to hiss, sigh and put the phone down. I attempted to call back, however the practice is not open yet to accept calls, so she essentially called me out of hours. Very poor customer service skills and lacking professionalism. I will be making a formal complaint. And I hope that all telephone calls are recorded for reference.

    A very traumatising experience. I needed root canal treatment which is quite a big piece of work. The dentist didn't know how to numb my gums all around the teeth as my teeth can be quite stubborn and won't numb easily. She only injectec anesthetic in my cheeck which obviously numbed my cheek but not the gums. She started introducing the sharp files and despite telling her that it hurt she insisted that pain is normal for root canal treatment. I asked her to inject more anesthetic and she said she already injected the maximum dose, however she injected it again in the same place which made no difference as I could still feel the pain. She told me that I need to decide what I want to do because I would need to be sedated to have root canal treatment when actually I know for a fact that this is not the case. I went to a private dentist now and she managed to do the root canal treatment without sedating me but knowing which nerves needed anesthetic. Anyway, the overall experience was traumatising, no empathy, no people skills, a very condescending tone of speaking to patients, no manners...would never go back again. Hope this helps.

    Myself and my 6 year old autistic son visited today, my son has special needs, and has been failed by a previous dentist, and all I can say is, what a positive and understanding team, the dental treatment was explained really well, and with patience, I was overwhelmed by the level of care and the way the treatment was tailored for my son, we left with 2 fillings and smiles, thank you so much

    Hi I have only ever been to this dentist my mom Tara Sargent have spent a lot off money and all my family use this dentist but I had Covid I called up and canceled told them id call up on Tuesday which was 4 days after they said ok then called up they said they booked me in for the morning and now can’t see me and kicked me off panel shady people fuked my Christmas up in pain no other dentist can see me till new year people like this are horrible people god pays them back .family are now looking for new dentist god bless

    I’ve been several times now and each time I’ve been made welcome and soon find myself relaxed. The staff are very friendly and the dentist I have a long with his dental nurse are fantastic. The receptionists are very polite and welcoming so your put at ease as soon as you walk, they constantly keep you up to date if there running behind. So all in all I would highly recommend.
