   We completely forgot our mot was overdue and we had a holiday planned a few days later which required the car. The team managed to book us in on the same day. Carried out the mot and made sure it was ready to drive home the same day. Great service + Great setup at their new garage. Many thanks

   The booking process initially went well with reception and including a chat with their mature mechanic Dick, who was going to do the work. After discussions with me , he suggested the non start would be a break in wire from starter motor to ignition switch, which indeed it turned out to be. On collecting the car and a huge bill , I complained about the size of the bill which was virtually all labour and did not appear to reflect the time on the job , judging from when reception rang mevto say ready to collect. I followed up with a written letter to the owner and proprietor , followed up by an email to the same .I noted that the bill included 2 major concerns...the mechanic listed was not Dick but Paul Graeme. Also the bill did not include an hourly rate for the labour on the job nor the number of hours worked and so was not transparent at all and was disproportinately high for the work done. In addition the receptionists twice referred to my car as a Jaguar when it was a Rover ???...had 2 bills for mixed up for Rover and Jaguar owners ? I received no response whatsoever from the owner and proprietor to discuss the bill and my complaint, so after a suitable period of time , reported this to the Motor Ombudsman mentioned in SGs Web Site.They said their investigation could take up to 6 months, as they were very busy across the country. I then contacted Citizens advice who stated if the Motor Ombudsman couldn't resolve it , I could report SG to the Trading Standards or go to court. So that's my genuine experience with Simon Graeme and its a very bad one.

   Simon Graeme Auto service crew are very professional and very helpful when it comes to your car. They do not beat around the bush when it comes to servicing your car. The ladies in the office let you know up front of any issues before they work on your car. I have been coming here for a very long time, and I cannot think of a better place to take your car for general repairs or service. They are a great team!!!

   I'm very impressed with this garage. All work has been completed promptly and thoroughly, with no high pressure sales tactics, let alone for unnecessary work. Advisory actions are noted, with a timeline for when works should be completed by. Records/invoices are provided clearly showing work undertaken, email/phone communication is polite & thorough and timelines are under promised yet over delivered. I'll happily be bringing my vehicle back here.
