Amazing authentic guest house. Location is ideal as it's central to Hollingworth Lake and Littleborough or Smithybridge Station. Rooms are spacious and ensuite. Tea and coffee and nibbles in the room and a big old bay window. Really friendly owner who couldn't do enough for me . Fully recommend as a solo, couples, or family visit.

I’ve stayed at Hollingworth Lake Guesthouse a number of times now and it is my go to place to stay while I’m working in the area. Chris is the most welcoming and lovely host. The rooms are super cosy, warm and have everything you need and more. The beds are super comfy and facilities are provided to make a nice cuppa. I've just returned from 6 nights at this amazing guest house. Really well appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I was in the area for work - the location is perfect for trains into Manchester but also lots of options to enjoy locally in the evenings. From booking through to check out it's the friendly but in no way overbearing service that really makes it stand out. Thanks again, hopefully I can visit again soon!
I spent three nights in this perfectly located guest house, a couple of minutes walk to the edge of Hollingworth Lake, but quiet and peaceful. My large and spotless room had a very comfortable king size bed. Chris was welcoming and extremely helpful. Although breakfast wasn’t included, the room was refreshed daily with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. There are sufficient early-opening cafes a few minutes walk away if a substantial breakfast is required. I really can’t think of anything negative about this guest house or it’s host.
"Pet friendly" A pet is a non human companion of which a human shares a family-like or friend-like bond with. Here we have an example of an astablishment that obviously doesn't stick to their word. This is discrimination against hermit crabs, of all animals. yes this is serious before anyone asks, I haven't actually stayed here. However I contacted a member of staff here and mentioned I have a pair of hermit crabs that would be staying with me for a night. Aforementioned travel tank and heat mat would of been provided by me. They even said yes to the heat mat. Instead of politely telling me I'll have to find somewhere else to stay they just said "End of conversion" I genuinely feel like I'm not being taken seriously and I don't know about my Hermies, but I for one feel left out and appalled.
Cozy and comfy stay. Would highly recommend. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy with lovely linens. Chris even found space for me when my reservation hadn't quite gone through. Lots to see and do in the area.

Highly recommended. Stayed here just 1 night whilst attending family funeral and was made to feel very welcome. Beautiful, clean and comfortable room and very friendly hosts. Hope to go back soon and explore a beautiful area.
Chris is a lovely person, very welcoming and friendly. The type of person who will go the extra mile to help. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was ideal for me as I was mountain biking in the area and also the B&B is right next to the amenities at Hollingworth Lake. Definitely recommended.
