This is a hidden gem. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with ensuite shower. I got a friendly welcome and an excellent breakfast. There is a pub serving food about 100 yards down the road. It is a little bit out of the way unless you are walking the Pennine Way but well worth the diversion.
Bill and his Son are one of the most pleasant host's we have come across nothing to much trouble and the views from our room and the conservatory are outstanding. And Sally the dog is beautiful.
Fantastic place to stay when hiking the Pennine Way! Interior is very authentic and lovely. Superb host, incredibly friendly. Nice ride back to the Pennine Way for 3 pounds. Dinner is a short walk down to the Diggle Hotel.
Very hospitable people. The accommodation had everything one needed for a walking holiday. The food and packed lunch were excellent.

Hosts very welcoming as I arrived late and they organised a taxi for me . Bed was very comfortable clean and tidy room and bathroom. I was in awe at the view from the breakfast room / lounge - amazing views of the Diglea valley - sheep and lambs in fields - hens clucking around the car park . I chose my breakfast which was freshly cooked whilst I admired the views and peace . The hosts were kind and gave lots of information about the history of the area . A definite recommended from me .
