A great place to stay. Fantastic breakfast. The staff were friendly and helped us to store our bikes over the weekend. Definitely planning to go again.
I have stayed here at least 5 or 6 times and have had good experiences …. HOWEVER ! I turned up on Saturday 22nd Nov at 2:10 pm to book into the room I HAD BOOKED over the phone directly with Loraine only to be told she had no record of my reservation !! I remember making the booking as we discussed which room i stayed in on the previous visit and it was room No 1 .. so this was booked over the phone .. no rooms were available on my arrival so i had to drive around Stockport for another 1.5 hours desperately trying to find a room for the night ! I tried 4 places and all booked up so ended up in the travel lodge in Stockport town centre which only had a family room available at £149/night !! I had no options left but to take it ! As direct bookings now at Oakfield lodge cannot be trusted i will not be going again , this completely ruined a trip that i had organised well in advance and ended up costing me a fortune , let alone the stress caused … Sorry Loraine but you have lost a once happy customer due to your inability to properly record your bookings and then to honour them … Not happy !! We have just had a great three night stay at Oakfield Lodge. Fantastic freindly staff, great brrakfast. Rooms clean and serviced daily. We stayed in the garden room with stunning views. Will definitely stay again
What a gem in Marple! Comfortable, clean and welcoming. Lovely view of Mellor from our room! We really enjoyed our stay and will happily recommend to others!
Stayed here for 1 night after my daughters wedding (23.5.25) We had 3 rooms booked for me and my wife my son and friends. Spacious rooms which were comfortable and very clean. Staff were superb with a warm welcome and very helpful. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. A gem of a find and would definitely stay here again
All in all a really nice place to stay in this place by my Airbnb. Let me down . I think if I was in the Stockport area, I would definitely stay here again while I’m here again ha ha thumbs up for me
An exellent place to stay, beautiful late 19th century arts and crafts house large and remarkably intact, a purists dreem really is, a stay here is worth it just to see an exeptional survivor from this style of late 19th design. Hospitality was superb, food was superb and genuine sincere hospitality. The views from our room was superb it was large well and sympatheticaly furnished and SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, we both canot recomend enough.
Great place for a stop off. Quirky Interior and rooms were clean and tidy. Front of house lady and gent who served breakfast were great and friendly but there were another couple who worked there and the gent on 3 occasions never replied once to me when I said hello. Lots of gastro pubs in the village. The midland and the royal Scot were great. Nearby train station, fish and chip shop and Indian. Overall would certainly recommend and revisit
Excellent guest house. Beautiful room and clean. Had a lovely sleep looking out on to a grand garden and scenery. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Will go again. Thank you for your hospitality.
Great little guest house with friendly welcoming staff, great price with breakfast included and close to the Peak District National Park, if your into the great outdoors.
