β Positive Review β Sarah Travelodge Stockport Heaton Lane, Stockport SK4 1BS I had a very pleasant experience at Travelodge Stockport Heaton Lane, largely thanks to Sarah at reception. She was extremely professional, polite, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Sarah handled everything efficiently, explained things clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable and well looked after throughout my interaction. Her customer service skills are excellent, and she represents the hotel very well. Staff like Sarah truly make a difference and reflect positively on the brand. βΈ» β οΈ Constructive Negative Review β Becky Travelodge Stockport Heaton Lane, Stockport SK4 1BS Unfortunately, my experience with Becky at reception was disappointing. I found her manner to be unhelpful and lacking the level of professionalism expected in a customer-facing role. Communication felt abrupt, and there was little effort to assist or resolve queries in a friendly or attentive way. I believe there is room for improvement in customer service approach, as it had a noticeable impact on my overall experience at the hotel.

The hotel amenities are fairly basic as you would expect given the low cost. However, it was clean, the breakfast was good. Most importantly for me though, is that the staff we met were friendly, professional and very helpful. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Stayed for a night for a conference in Manchester but didn't want the hustle and bustle.of Manchester city centre. We were greeted by a great guy named Ste in reception who was so welcoming and made us laugh. We ate in the bar and had a couple of drinks, nothing was too much for Ste, he even popped into the kitchen to find me some orange slices for my Blue Moon beer! Fantastic service. Would stay again. More hotels need a Ste too!

Absolutely Terrible Stay β Do Not Book Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of awful. The entire place was filthy β the corridors stank of sick, which was especially distressing as I was staying with young children. When we got to our room, we were horrified to find blood on the mattress and sheets, along with dog hair. The room itself was dusty, dirty, and had a foul smell of ingrained dirt. We immediately had to request a move, which should never have been necessary in the first place. To make matters worse, the hotel advertises guest parking. We parked in the car park, provided our blue badge details at reception, and were assured by the man at the desk that it had been added for free parking. Despite this, we have now received a penalty charge notice. This is completely unacceptable and is solely due to the negligence of the hotel staff. This hotel is absolutely unsuitable for children β or anyone, for that matter. Not only will you leave feeling dirty and uncomfortable, but you may also be left dealing with the stress of unfair parking fines. I will be reporting this hotel to head office. Avoid at all costs.

Very friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, quiet room. Breakfast: cooked, croissants, pancakes, bagels, cereals, yoghurt, apples and oranges. ( Sadly the supplier of the soft fruit had let the staff down and this was missing). Very good price evening main course and drink deal.

Great location with easy access for the train station and a very good budget price. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Hotel definitely has a budget look and feel which is okay for one night - small details like no hairdryer in the room and no free WIFI are annoying!

This was a quick sleep stopover between flights and I didn't have much of an expectation due to a recent stopover at another Travelodge. However, it was very clean and well maintained yet this is rated 2star?? (I stayed at Park Royal, where the carpet in the room was disgusting and toilet wouldn't flush, yet this was rated 4 stars!!!) Here at Stockport nothing was too much trouble as we checked in at 1am after a flight delay and this continued the following morning with excellent customer service from all staff. Definitely brought Travelodge back up the booking ladder for a stay in Manchester anyway.

Hotel is right in the middle of Stockport so easy to get to and out and about. Downside is the park is the issue as the hotel says it has parking but turns out it doesn't. You have to park in the car park over the road and pay. The web site directions to the hotel are also incorrect. Having said that the staff have been really friendly and helpful and our room was clean. Bed really comfortable.

If you are only after a bed and a shower, then no need to look for anything else. However, if you want things like refreshments, good service or human approach, then it is not the place you are looking for. This is a very simple hotel with little more to offer other than sleep at a relatively low price. Reception staff often not there, procedures stopping you from buying anything from the bar, poor quality breakfast. Three stars as I have seen worse for a higher price and it would just be unfair.
