Small single room was absolutely roasting when i walked in, heating waa on full blast, in such a small room ia ridiculous!! Couldn't make myself ready to go for ages, as i was sweating loads, had to put chair against room door to leave it open, i also tried to open window but it was locked, then when i went to sit on toilet seat, it was already coming off the hinges, had to ask someone to come up in the end, but they took a good 20 mins to come up, to fix the toilet seat and turn the heating off and open the locked window!!! Not worth £108 for this tiny hot room, thought i was walking in to Fawlty Towers!! Unfortunately i have to stay here tonight, but only cause ive paid before going up and seeing my room, otherwise i would have gone to Trivelles close by. Wont stay here again, too expensive for what i got, ive paid cheaper for better state rooms!!

An excellent hidden gem. This hotel, above the Miller and Carter, was clean and the rooms were spacious and modern. It served me well with the very frequent 192 bus outside which runs every few minutes to the city centre. Breakfast was great too, which was freshly cooked and even featured a small steak. I would love to have seen some slightly more affordable food at the Miller and Carter for the evening - maybe a guest discount as there aren't many other nearby options for eating. And breakfast would be one step better of there were some help yourself fruit and pastries to go with the cooked breakfast. Thanks, though, for a great stay!

Superb hotel, I have stayed here a few times. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Transport to town is outside hotel. Nice bars and restaurants 10 minutes of walk. Is my first choice hotel every time.

Had an excellent stay. The bedroom was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great with thick towels. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the restaurant with great service and a superb breakfast the following morning. All the staff were very lovely, helpful and friendly.

A brilliant place to stay. We were so impressed with the food. Everything was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and served with pride. It is a long time since we have had a consistent high level of food and service We were impressed with our room. The staff that carried out the cleaning of our room and of the rest of the hotel/restaurant were a team taking pride in their work and so accommodating. So it is a big thank for making our stay so special whilst awaiting the birth of our third grandchild.

Hotel was easy to find with good parking. Check in staff were friendly. The room was a good size for four of us and spotlessly clean. Being in an old building, the floors were uneven and the stairs steep - it added to the charm for us but wouldn't be suitable for anyone with access requirements. Only two towels were provided and there was no obvious way to communicate with staff other than returning down the stairs. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others needing a hotel in the area.

Not much to say, I did not have great expectations because it was so cheap for a nights stay. However, when I arrived the staff were lovely in greeting me in the Steakhouse and they got Neville to take care of me. What a lovely chap Neville is. He booked me in and took me to the door accessing the stairs. Explained about the key fob, how to get in and out of the side door etc. The room was very clean, the shower is terrific and the bed very comfortable. I had a very good sleep. I have never been to Stockport before, I was attending an old friends funeral, and unlikely to go there again but if I need a room elsewhere I shall be looking for an Innkeeper.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and warm. Breakfast was adequate. Cooked breakfast was good. Disappointed with lack of cereals, cooked breakfast plate had toast and butter on it. Never experienced this before! More like transport cafe! Would have liked to have it on a separate plate.

Beautiful venue, very clean and modern. Stayed over night in a lovely double room. Which is almost brand new. Will definitely be returning. Stairs may pose a challenge for some but didn't bother me. Parking was great too and free.

The staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. The room was quite spacious which we really liked and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom's toilet flush was quite noisy though and needed to be pulled several times. We had breakfast one morning and it was delicious. All in all a good experience
