We liked this hotel for it's simplicity, value for money with friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. It is a dedicated conference hotel which means the room was small, utilitarian, clean and with towels. The day we arrived the hotel was quiet and we had the Garden Bar to ourselves with its twinkling Christmas lights. The next day was a conference day and much busier. We also ate cooked light snacks in the Garden Bar which were delicious. Bar prices reasonable too. Hotel can call a taxi for you amd they arrive quickly and similar pricing to other large towns.

I recently stayed at the Pendulum hotel. I can't thank the staff enough. Unfortunately there was a problem with the (friend) I was staying with and I needed to change my room. The lovely lady in reception... I believe it was her last shift before she started her new job was so kind to me also I think ( the catering manager) let me move to a new room. They was both so kind and helpful and nothing was any bother. I would like to thank you personally. Also the duty manager was a big help. Thank you.

I had a pleasant stay at the Pendulum Hotel. The location is fantastic β€” right in the heart of the city and close to everything you need, from transport links to restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience feel smooth and relaxed. Breakfast used to be one of the highlights here, and while it’s still decent, I’ve noticed a drop in both quality and value compared to previous visits. It would be great to see this brought back to its former standard, especially given the price. The rooms are comfortable, but a little more attention to detail would go a long way. For example, my room had no hooks or rails to hang towels, and the curtain tie-back was a flimsy plastic strap that couldn’t even hold a single towel. Small touches like these can really affect convenience. Overall, still a good option for a city stay β€” just a few updates needed to bring the experience up to the standard the location and staff already offer.

Fantastic hotel! Only about a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly station, and the city centre. The rooms are small, but perfect for anyone on a budget. Lots of storage. Shower was incredible, as were the beds. Very comfortable! Staff were all lovely, and the reception has a pretty cool layout. Will definitely re-book here if we ever end up in Manchester again! :)

Went to the board games festival for Halloween, was clean and tidy, toilets were also, bar prices actually not too bad, but bar staff need to smile, was unpleasant seeing people being served (including myself) with no warmth and almost scowls. Smoking area needs updating but it does have cover and outdoor heaters which is great.

Good for a budget hotel. The room was comfortable and could have done with some maintenance as it was very dated. The staff were all excellent, attentive and friendly. The breakfast was ok. The location of the hotel was good and 7min walk from the station. I would just recommend this hotel because of the staff.

Central hotel with parking nearby Β£15 for 24 hours. Check in very efficient. Room in need of upgrading as very shabby, pillows need renewing, work station sticky cups etc need pulling off stickiness, carpet stained and coffee stains down toilet door frame. In bathroom shower gel on wall needs cleaning when filled up as the outside of bottle has dried shower gel on it. Reception made aware of the above.

I was in Manchester for one day for a work meeting. The hotel was 8 mins walk from the station. Maps helped me find my way there. The reception. was kind, the environment was very clean and smelt nice and the meeting room was great. Their breakfast and lunch were good and the female waiters who waited on us were very professional.

Reviewing the Manchester Conference Centre rather than the hotel side. I held meetings here and I can't praise the place enough. Upon arrival, the staff behind reception were incredibly polite, and extremely helpful. The conference room I used was clean, well laid out and again the staff were extremely conscientious, coming to see if there was anything we needed, if we had enough water carafes etc. I am more than happy to see that all the staff here are aware of the importance and meaning of 'customer service'. I have been to many places where that is seriously lacking. If you are holding meetings, I would highly recommend you get in touch with the Manchester Conference Centre. I'll definitely be back.

Really good budget hotel, I stayed for Manchester Pride and was an amazing location. The room we had was very stuffy and felt like there wasn't much air circulation and the door wouldn't lock initially but other than that the staff sorted it straight away and everything else was great. They have a bar and restaurant and a lovely garden to sit in when eating.
