I’ve been using the horsforth branch for 3+ years now and couldn’t fault them, always an honest and reliable service.
Booked my car in as there was a few things wrong. Takes them days to look at it even though it's booked in on a particular day. You need to take a weeks holiday of work it takes them that long to see it. Told there was a few error codes and would I want the work doing so I said yes. I asked them was the work connected to the reason why I brought it in and they said yes. Few days pass by and car is still not looked at or a resolution to the issues. So called them up only to be told nothing wrong with car and it's running like a dream and reasons was that car was running on fumes even though it gets filled regular like any other car on the road. Just a cop out excuse and didn't want to do the work or couldn't be arsed. Since had 2 quotes with other garages and Confirmed that the car did infact have the same issues that the car originally went in for. Keys were damaged and car was scratched on them taking it out of the car park. I gave these guys a chance as I was close by but unfortunately you need to take a week off work to get your car sorted. Really disappointing.
If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Popped in Saturday a.m as my wipers had stopped working. In less than 2 hours received a call saying part had been ordered & my car ready to collect Mon/Tues. It was ready on Tuesday first thing. I cannot thank John & the team enough. Polite, courteous & efficient. Definitely my go to garage in future Thanks again x
A rare find, for MOT done quick and completely honest, will not rip you off. Definitely coming back
They seemed really reluctant to do the work and I had to organise my own towing to get the vehicle there. I left a note regarding the work required, and this wasn’t even looked at. The work needed was on the rear drum brakes. It’s a budget car requiring easily obtained budget parts but they acted as if the task required was very difficult and needed hard-to-acquire components. I had the car booked in for the Thursday but it wasn’t looked at until days later. I asked them to replace the cylinder & brake parts in both drums. They charged well over double the going rate for the parts and didn’t fit a component on one side as they decided they didn’t need to, even though they charged me for the part and gave it to me ‘as a spare’. It took a week to finish fixing the rear brakes of a small car.
Wonderful garage! As a woman who knows nothing about cars I'm always cautious of getting ripped off and it's just not an issue with this place. I've been going for 3 years now and they have gone above & beyond to help. The latest has been a flat battery, they came to jump start the car so I could get home, refused a call out fee & then collected it later to replace the battery. I've had MOT's, services, general repairs, every time they explain what work needs doing & how much it will costs clearly & not too technically so I can actually understand! They're popular so often busy yet still manage to fit me in with relatively short notice. It's exemplary customer service, especially after having watched my mum being bamboozled by dodgy dealers when I was a kid. I highly recommend.
Friendly genuine and fair service. ES Motors Horsforth team also fit me in during peak business times for urgent brake check. They are now my go to mechanics for car services, tyres, MOTs etc. Keep up the great local customer service.
