Spending my very first stay of the new year here was truly meaningful for me. Even though it was only a three-night stay, everything felt well-prepared, organized, and made with care. This was also my first trip booked via Booking, and as a Turkish Canadian, I genuinely appreciated how safe and comfortable the experience was while discovering British culture. Communication was clear, rules were transparent, and everything was exactly as described. I’ll happily share this experience with my family and loved ones and would confidently recommend this place to anyone visiting Manchester. A stay that clearly reflects real effort and care. Thank you.

Great value for money, rooms a bit run down but that is to be expected for the price. Can't complain really. Only negative was the bathroom light not working

I recently stayed at Queens Guest House in Manchester, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The place is amazing, the room look great, are cosy, and very clean. The service from the reception is outstanding, warm, and genuinely welcoming. If you’re looking for a good price, a convenient location, excellent reception service, and a comfortable room, this is definitely the place to go. I stayed for couple of nights and everything exceeded my expectations. I’m not sure why some people leave negative comments. The receptionist explained to me that they are constantly working to improve and upgrade the quality, and I can really see observe that. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would gladly come back. Highly recommended!

I booked The queen guest house manchester for a special anniversary weekend based on the photos and central location. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest let-downs I've ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, things felt off. The lobby was shabby, but we hoped it wasn't a reflection of the rooms. We were wrong. The Room (Room 307): · Upon opening the door, we were hit by a damp, musty smell. · The carpet was stained and felt damp near the window, which had a visible crack letting in a cold draft. · The bed sheets had several small, unidentifiable stains and there were short, black hairs on the pillowcases. It was clear the linens had not been properly changed. · There was nothing in the shearing bathroom no towels, no shampoo, it was unplugged and warm inside, with a puddle of water at the bottom. The Bathroom: · The shower pressure was a pathetic trickle, and the temperature fluctuated wildly from scalding to freezing every 30 seconds. · The floor tiles were cracked, and there was no hot water from the sink tap on our second morning. Service & Facilities: · We complained about the sheets and the shower at reception. The staff member just shrugged and said, "Housekeeping has finished for the day, there's nothing we can do." · The Wi-Fi was a joke. It kept dropping out every few minutes, making it impossible to stream music or look up local attractions. · Clear Final Verdict: The final sentence is a strong, clear warning to other travelers.

Was a last minute on the spot booking and even gave us discount. Loved speaking to the manager upon arrival who explained everything to us in detail and expressed if we had an issue to come and speak to him first and he will try his best to fix it straight away. Never once got disturbed by anything and had a lovely stay. He even allowed me to put my chocolates in the freezer so they wouldn’t melt. Defo would stay there again.

Clean and tidy enough until we moved the beds around were there was mold being hidden. This was the only discomfort of which was an otherwise satisfactory room for a budget price. I'd go back unless I won the lottery. Good location with nearby transport links to city centre.

AVOID AVOID AVOID, this place is absolutely disgusting. The room had stains on the walls, stains on the carpets and dirty bedding. It clearly hasn’t been cleaned properly. The staff were really unwelcoming and when asked for a refund started to get aggressive. Left the hotel and went somewhere else. Wouldn’t put my worst enemy in this place.

TERRIBLE. GUEST HOUSE FROM HELL. Never ever again. Bad smells, feels unsafe. Cigarette burns everywhere, discoloured bed sheets and furniture, the dressing table was disgusting, blankets stunk of dampness. bathroom from hell. All the paint was coming off the walls, barely any toilet roll, black grout all around the shower. Didnt even want to step foot in the bathroom at all. Cracked sink, dirty mirrors. Holes in curtain. Springy beds. Smelt like damp and mould the entire time. Dirty carpet. The whole guesthouse had bad carpet and stains all over the skirting boards, it’s just a very unclean place in general. Needs a serious renovation. One word. GLOOMY. You don’t feel safe in this place at all. Don’t make the same mistake I did, pay a little extra and go somewhere safer and cleaner

I stayed here last minute after getting weird and uncomfortable vibes from the hostel I was supposed to stay at. While Queens Guest House was by no means a five star hotel, I found it warm, quiet and felt totally safe. I can understand why someone might not enjoy an extended stay there - it definitely wasn't the cleanest (but neither was it totally disgusting) - but for me it wound up being a great place to sleep off the jet lag and move on the next morning. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to spend a night or two, and can tolerate some weird smells and cobwebs, this is a great option.

AVOID! SCAM! DISGUSTING! From the beginning of our stay we experienced poor customer service and strong smell of cigarettes in the whole building. Both of the owners were extremely unhelpful and when we arrived at 7pm stated that one of our rooms was not ready, considering check in was from 3pm….The rooms we received had not been cleaned, there was 8 empty Diet Coke cans in the drawers of the bed side table, dirty towels, holes in the walls and unwashed bedding. The bathroom conditions where poor with mouldy walls and lack of toiletries. This establishment needs to be closed!
