   I wouldn’t recommend using. I booked through FixMyCar in September, advised on arrival the price may differ from my what was quoted but that wasn’t the issue. I mentioned my car had gone into limp mode and asked for a diagnostics report and quote only. I said I thought it might be the EGR so awaited their call as getting there first thing means they keep it all day of course. I made my way back there in the afternoon to ensure I would be there not long before it closed and got a call at 4pm to say my car was in bad shape and that they couldn’t determine the issue until they investigated, quoted 4 hours labour to ‘look’ at the EGR. This quote didn’t include cost of parts so I decided I would rather risk taking it home and getting someone local to look at it as I couldn’t even get an answer as to when I would get the car back. I asked for a copy of the diagnostics report, told the printer wasn’t working so I asked for this to be emailed to me. I called up the following Monday asking about the report, told it was written down on a post it note to send but they have been too busy. Still didn’t hear back after a few days so emailed to chase and still not received this. Bit pointless now as I had to get it fixed elsewhere but I didn’t see the point being charged twice for someone to run diagnostics, but due to this joke of a garage I had no choice. Really poor service overall. They told me the brake pads were completely worn and brake fluid was at a dangerous level. I paid for an RAC mobile mechanic to sort and he said the brake pads I could have got another 6 months out of and didn’t agree on the brake fluid comment. It was low but not ‘dangerously’ low. Evident they were exaggerating issues to keep the car so the final bill would be enormous. The EGR I had replaced locally and done on the same day so big difference when you consider I need my car to get to work, you know the place that pays me the money that pays you!! These jokers wanted to keep it indefinitely with no indication as to when it would be fixed. Take it in for a cheap service at your own risk but don’t waste money getting them to run diagnostics as you will never see the report and be expected to believe what tales they come out with. I held off writing this as I probably wouldn’t have given such a bad review for a cheap service but not providing the report was your own doing. If you had just sent a simple PDF and not been so obstructive (the lady I spoke to really was) then I would have forgotten all about this. I was forced to give you 1 star to submit the review.

   I've used these guys for servicing and repairs for the last few years and always been delighted with the quality and cost. I have to especially thank them for going above and beyond expectations a week ago. The locking wheel nut had been damaged by someone else and cross-threaded. I needed them replacing the same day as I was going away the following day. Not only did they manage to fix the damage/replace the bolts, but they did so without any damage to the alloys and also stayed past closing time to make sure I could go away the next day. Can't recommend them enough.

   The Autocentre Dewsbury is a breath of fresh air. An honest and reputable shop that provides excellent customer service. After having visited countless mechanics to identify and repair a complex issue relating to the engine of my C63 AMG, none could even come close to what the real problem was - timing chain failure, which was successfully diagnosed immediately by the highly competent mechanics at the Autocentre Dewsbury. I was left dumbfounded by the high quality work they carried out in a time-efficient manner. Thank you for providing the prompt expertise that these vehicles demand. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

   After being referred by a friend, I headed over to the Autocentre Dewsbury rather nervous and hopeless, wondering if anyone could solve the mystery of why my corsa couldn't pass the MOT inspection. For two months I had my time wasted and had been heckled around with by lots of mechanics but when I arrived at the Autocentre Dewsbury, they were exceptionally accommodating and determined to find a solution to my dilemma - which was rare. It was not an instant fix, but after taking the time to thoroughly investigate and find a suitable solution by experimenting different things, they made the correct cost-effective repairs and my car FINALLY passed MOT. UPDATE: I now go there regularly and have built fruitful rapports with the down to earth owners who are like my friends now.
