1. The Underdog Psychosis ★★★★★

   Hotel was decent for what you pay for , obviously a three star hotel but impressed me for that standard. However the receptionist there Kim was lovely to deal with. Very nice personality and was very accommodating , professional and helpful . Sometimes one great staff member like that can make your stay. Thank you Kim.

   So I booked a room and asked for one of the newly updated modern rooms which Kai - a staff member - kindly booked in for me. I have to say this room was really lovely and made for a great stay. I also really liked all the staff and thought they were all lovely people ! I enjoyed it thank you. I took my bicycle and cycled in and out of town which worked well.

   Not good at all. I booked. When I went to the hotel they asked for a £50 deposit. When I saw the room in the low grand floor, it smelled very bad like a prison. I couldn't stay. I'm back to the reception to get my deposit and went to another hotel It's horrible.

   This was a last minute book for me and my partner for the parklife festival. After reading the reviews we were very nervous to stay here and expected a lot worse than what we have experienced. We stayed in room 19B and it was very clean and modern ( this was just a regular room and not the luxury rooms) the mattress was not the comfiest but we both got a good sleep. We did have a shared bathroom with 3 other rooms however the bathroom was also very modern and clean. There was a variety of mirrors in the room and felt very homely. Over all our stay we was very pleased with and believe the reviews on this hotel are not accurate.We only payed £65 for the room. The rooms are small and there is an abandoned nursing home facing the hotel but the hotel had high enough gates to feel safe as it can be worrying due to the area in Manchester that this is located in which does look very run down. Adding on, we chose to park the car on the street although they offer car parking on site in which is £10 per car but there was no damage to the car after leaving it there over night.

   Rooms are fine but their services are pathetic they even charge £5 for WiFi no shampoo no conditioner are available they charged over and they take deposit as well

   The room was perfect, nicely refurbished and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with them throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for money.

   Great place to stay if you hate sleep. The walls were paper thin and everyone (including guests and staff) were having loud conversations, playing music, slamming doors etc. Until 2 am. The non smoking room reeked of cigarettes, the sheets had cigarette burns in them and the walls were decorated with assorted stains that included blood. And to top it off they kept my 50 quid "deposit" so I have to go through my bank to get it back.

   Room was tidy upon arrival, beds were comfy and more than adequate for our stay. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. A relaxed and relatively enjoyable experience overall. Would stay again if needed.
