Went in for an MOT. After long wait they finally took the car in and after a 3 hour long mot they failed it. Been in there for about 6 hours just waiting nobody bothered to tell us anything and just plain rude. Most of the time the mechanics just sit in the reception and don't work. In the time that I was there 5 people had a failed mot. Most of them on things that shouldn't even be classed as advisory. Anyway I took my car to a local garage and it passed with no advisory. I asked the guy to check the things that were on the failed mot and he said there's absolutely no problem with the vehicle. No way I will ever come back to halfords ever. My car is not even old enough to be failing on the things they said. Worst experience of my life. Never again.
Came into Halfords this morning to ask about some error messages popping up on our dashboard, and the guy who served us was brilliant from start to finish. He checked everything over, explained what the issue was, offered a couple of helpful suggestions, and had our car battery replaced within about 30 minutes. Really pleasant, really helpful, and made the whole experience quick and stress-free. Would definitely recommend!
Booked 1 hour slot for 4 new tyres fitting & received a text day before requesting us to arrive 10 minutes early. The job was not even started by the end of the 1 hour slot. We spent two and half hours hanging around waiting instead of 1 hour as initially agreed. Not acceptable when you're having a straightforward job done.
Horrible service. I booked it on 17th Jan first. Got a call from the centre and rescheduled for 20th Went for free brake check and might take the paid service if needed. I come here 10am. Been told it may take 2 hours, no problem then been told another 2 hours, said no problem again. Then been told soon will be. Don’t know when it will be checked. Even the guy was in reception it seems to me doesn’t care. I took service before from halford in London which was the best. Never again

Brilliant service for a second time from Josh, Scott, Damian and Kai at Halfords Autocentre Parkgate. Found them fair and honest. Great banter, solid advice and prompt service. Can't recommend enough. Roy.
Took a tyre in with a screw in it. Was told that the tyre was worn uneven and this would damage the wheel bearing on my car. He didn't know I was a mechanic and I know this doesn't happen. Took my car somewhere else, they said tyre worn even and I felt the tyre myself while rotating it. Guy at Halfords trying to rip me off.
