Reasonably priced, easy to book and appointment online & easily accessible being located on the approachvto North bridge. Friendly, approachable staff (I've used this branch off & on for 20 years). A clean & tidy counter area with seating if you want to wait or watch the mechanics while they work their magic.
Great garage! Staff are all so lovely and attentive. MOT was in and repairs sorted within 2 hours. Definitely recommend Halfords auto centre for quick MOTs/repairs!
If I could give zero stars I would. BEWARE the staff give out incorrect prices over the phone just to get you to book in and then lie about it once the work is done and hold your vehicle to ransom until you have paid the increased price they have made up. Poor customer service from the staff including the manager Cam; arguing and cutting me off without listening to what I am trying to say. Not to mention carelessness from the mechanics who cracked the sensor when fitting the new brake pads. What they told me was around an hours job to complete, apparently took over 8 hours with little communication resulting in me phoning up 4 times. They then tried to say they hadn't given me an apt time when they actually booked me in for 8:30. Why ask customers to drop the vehicle off at 8:30 if you are not even starting the work until 4 hours later. It makes no sense. I will never use this branch again. When asked for a copy of the complaints procedure the manager states he cannot provide me with this and I instead need to contact customer services. I think you need some management training cam and I urge you to listen to the recorded calls of your staff giving out incorrect information as they also need training! Latest update Halfords lied and pretended they’d listened to the call and that i was wrong so i asked for a copy of the recorded call. By law they sent me this and after listening contacted them again to advise them they had clearly not listened to the call and i was clearly mis sold and mis quoted. They have since refunded me although had to tell them twice the amount I needed refunding as it seems they don’t know how to add up correctly. Throughout all this I have never once received an apology for the experience or the fact they tried to insinuate i was lying.
Helpful , friendly staff. Was seen quick than my booked slot. Have some good offers on batteries and tyres. Lady at front reception was extremely helpful. Will use again

Shocking. Dropped off at 0820 as instructed for service booked in "first thing". Picked up just after 1pm as they were still saying they're hoping to get it in in the next couple of hours. My personal view is they saw "fleet service" on the job sheet and think I've got no choice but to use Halfords so I'll have to wait as long as it takes. Thank God they're wrong! Booked in elsewhere, will never go back! Wasted morning off work.
Marked tyres down on an MOT with 5mm of tread left. The front tyres were worn on the outer edge which I'm more than willing to accept but the rears were 5mm across the entire width, I questioned the decision, they blamed it on the tester being from an 'agency'. I explained that this was unacceptable but they didnt offer a retest..wont use them again.
They were a life safer. Staff were very professional and kind. I needed new brakes to drive back to London, although they were busy, they made an exception to help me. Can't thank them enough
Used them for MOT earlier on the year, service a few weeks ago. Tried to book to have brake pads replaced booked collection and drop off and they never turned up. Went to rebook today and apparently, they have now stopped doing pick up and collection for "retail customers".
