   I've been going to Georgie for my hair for a while now and honestly can't imagine going to anyone else. It's always the best experience - she really listens to what I'm looking for and gives great advice on what will suit me, I always leave loving how my hair looks, and she has the most lovely, fun energy, too. I used to really struggle with hair appointments until I started going to Georgie - now I genuinely look forward to them!

However, the person that has made this experience even more so positive is the lovely, bubbly and polite Mia! She is an incredibly talented hairstylist and will guide you through the process and ensure that she brings your style and vision to life- most importantly will not shy away from discouraging you from a style that won’t suit your lifestyle or face structure!    I got my hair done by Mia back in September, and I had the BEST experience! Everyone at the salon was so warm and welcoming. Mia is so incredibly talented and gave me the most beautiful layers. I also got a natural glossing treatment, and the results are stunning! It's been about a month, and my hair still feels incredibly soft and looks super shiny.    I can’t recommend Mia and James Bushell hair salon enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of.    Bit of a mixed review from my personal experience at James Bushell that has stopped me from giving it a 5 star. I went in for a consultation for hair extensions and I said to the lady that the length I wanted was just past my shoulders, curly - fine. We ended the consultation with me ordering 20 inches of hair which I thought was a lot given the length I had specified but she explained we needed to cut it. I go in a month or so after my consultation and I'd also paid to get a colour match. My hair is extremely porous so colour develops quickly on my hair and I didn't feel like anyone was monitoring this so of course, after half an hour, we wash the colour out, dry it, match it with the extensions and my hair needs a further two washes because it's so dark. The two washes do nothing and my hair is much darker than the extensions but thankfully colour washes out! My hair extensions are now on my head; no trouble with the fitting! The hairdresser (who I also had a consultation with) starts to trim the hair and takes off the tiniest amount leaving me with basically 20 inches of hair. I ask for more cut off and the response is, "you'll get used to it". Well... it's not what I wanted and it left me feeling deceived during the consultation, to be frank! I was told we needed 20 inches in order to cut it to the length I wanted - that was a lie. And I actually could have saved myself some money by ordering cheaper hair; either the 16 or 18 inch hair extensions. To be honest, it felt like the hairdresser was less bothered about what I wanted and more bothered about a dramatic before and after photo to showcase her talents. Needless to say, I cut my ends when I got home! A week later, I realise I need to book a refit. I phone to book a refit, we pick a date and everything is booked for Saturday. I then get a phone call on the Tuesday before my appointment asking if I had extensions in because apparently the appointment I booked didn't include taking the extensions out *face palm*. I re-booked on the Friday night before which is a massive inconvenience to be honest. Just to end on a positive, after cutting my hair and after two weeks of my natural hair fading, I am over-the-moon with the result; they look fantastic and the hairdressers are extremely talented. It's the reason I continue to go to James Bushell! And in all fairness, the price is extremely reasonable! I really think my review could have been a 5 star but some things need to change in the Solihull branch IMO; - a greater focus on what the client wants, putting personal preferences aside. - an appreciation for different hair types; not all hair will need 30 minutes to develop. - Maybe a script for phone calls so staff on the phones remember to ask if hair extensions are already fitted etc.
