    I was having engine issues on the A1, pulled off at the next exit and stopped cap-in-hand outside the first garage I found. Luckily it was Mellors, and within an hour Dave and his team had got my car onto a lift in their very busy shop, diagnosed the issue, and ordered the replacement part which was fitted as soon as it arrived, getting me back on the road in time to reach a wedding in Scotland! Absolute pleasure deal with, I will definitely be using Mellors again.

    I found a Seat Ibiza online and travelled an hour to look at it, the car was fairly high priced but had good spec, history and looked tidy in the pics. It was a nice surprise to find this place an old fashioned village garage (although that's perhaps a little unfair as this place was cleaner than a Dr surgery including the workshop). Staff were all lovely and friendly and even offered a kennel to put my pup in whilst i looked at the car. I was handed the key and left alone to look round it which was a refreshing change, I believe the owner then asked if I wanted to drive it and he sorted the trade plates and again I was trusted to have a drive alone. On returning again no sales pitch and left to look round some more. I was a little annoyed as struggled to find any issues to help make the deal better... The car had some 3mths MOT and service left and these would be refreshed prior to collection. As I wanted to take the car with me I got a little off to save them doing this. I would normally prefer to sort servicing post sale myself as I don't normally trust a garage would do a thorough job post sale. (I believe this garage would have as the owner seemed a genuine chap who would do the best he could to make things right) Everything was sorted for the sale in a timely manner and on spending the last few days going through the paperwork history and servicing it the parts i took out were nearly new... Everything checked out and I would highly recommend this garage...

    Had the pleasure of dealing with Mellors Garage for some suspension work on my daughters Astra TwinTop this week. Spoke to Steve the owner who couldn't do enough for us. He went out of his way to ensure my daughters car was safe for her to drive having fitted the correct parts to the car and not cutting corners using inferior parts. Overall the service and communication from Mellors was first class and I'd fully recommend anyone in the area goes to them for service and repair. Cost wise, much better than a main dealer! This is the second time (2 daughters) we have used this garage for vehicle repair and in both cases the work was outstanding. Support your local garage and get amazing service.
