Busy garage so be prepared that you may have to wait to get booked in. Good staff, clear communication and reasonably priced.

Garage review. Poor experience, trust lost, will not be returning. Whether your car is a Ford or a Ferrari (mine's a Ford!), you want the same from your garage - quality work, good customer service and value for money. My car was booked in for a service and MOT. Prior to the service, the air conditioning was working (to be fair the air was cool rather than ice cold) - the day after, realized it has failed completely (just blowing in the hot air from outside). Not ideal in a heatwave. Co-incidence or had something occurred during the service ? Rang garage repeatedly to discuss - phone not picked up and voicemails never responded to. Like to use local businesses when possible, but I wont be going back to this garage.

Normally good for fuel prices compared to other local petrol stations. Never used for vehicle servicing and maintenance. Shop staff are always very friendly.

I had an absolutely appalling experience with East Bawtry Road Car Garage, and I feel compelled to warn others about the unethical and unprofessional conduct I encountered. A few weeks ago, I brought my car in for a brake pad replacement. Shortly after, I received a call informing me that the brake discs also needed replacing, which would increase the cost. I agreed, the work was done, and I paid the bill. However, soon after, my car started making loud groaning noises—a clear indication that something was wrong. I was told this could be due to the pads not being fitted correctly. When I called the garage to report the issue, they checked the car but claimed they couldn’t find anything wrong. They advised me to call back if the noise persisted. The noise got worse, so I called again on 27/09. A lady told me to bring the car in the next day at 10 a.m., which I did. I spoke to the mechanic, who told me to leave the car with him for inspection. Later that afternoon, I received a call saying the car was ready for collection. I was told that no faults were found, but if the noise got worse, I should bring it back again. When I went to pick up the car at 6 p.m. with my husband and our two young children asleep in the car, the cashier at the Texaco petrol station handed us an invoice and insisted we pay it before she would give us our car keys—keys that also included our house keys! This was the first time anyone mentioned an invoice. At no point during my three separate conversations with the garage staff was I informed that I would be charged for this inspection. No work or parts had been fitted, and yet, they were holding my car and house keys until I paid this unexpected and unjustified bill. When we tried to reason with the cashier, she refused to contact the garage, saying they were closed and that she wouldn’t call her boss after hours. After much insistence, she did eventually call him, but he outright refused to speak with us and again refused to release our keys until the invoice was paid. I have since raised an incident form with the police regarding this matter. I’m still baffled by how a business can charge a customer without prior warning, effectively hijacking their vehicle and keys. This garage has completely lost our trust with their unethical and downright wrongful treatment. I urge anyone considering using East Bawtry Road Car Garage to think twice—they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy and unscrupulous.

I wanted to bring my car to the garage and spoke to a guy called Neil who was really rude, will avoid this place in future, I wanted to take my car here but he was awful to me and I ended up cancelling my appointment, couldn’t believe someone would be so rude to a customer

We had an issue with our gear box on the VW transporter and after being told we would need a specialist and potentially an expensive job we took it to BRSS on recommendation. Quickly identified, diagnosed and solved the issue at a fraction of the price we were expecting. Many thanks!
