Engine light on and was main reason why i took my car to beighton motors but they did a short cut and place a new battery so engine light , never did a check to see what was the cause and i was called and told problem was solved, On my arrival to collect car i was charged over £180 I ask if they sorted the problem with the engine light issue they said the problem was the battery, so i was charged that much just for a battery , so i took the car home till later that day when i start the car the engine light came back on, I called the garage next day to explain the situation the old man started arguing and his argument was it was off when I picked the vehicle up , But i only just collect it less than 12 hours ago, unfortunately couldn't have any answers instead he got mad at me and hang the phone up on me , Please do not use this garage to save yourselves headache and your pocket they are a ripoff

First and last time I'll ever use this place, I took my car for it's M.O.T and was told on collection it had no advisories / issues, the car didn't look like it had been moved, a week and half later my front brake pads started grinding, when I changed them they were down to the metal, this made me have a quick look around the car at the basics to see if I could see anything else, I found one rear tyre was below the limit and the other was completely bald, this is my family car and I have a 2 year old and pregnant girlfriend travelling in it, poor quality of work and a complete con man to let someone take there car thinking it's all ok, even after seeing my family with me when the car was dropped off and collected, the picture below is the tyre that was on the car while the M.O.T was done but some how wasn't a fail never mind an advisory. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this place at all.

Thank you to Beighton Motors for all you're help during our car problems whilst in Cornwall. We had the car in a few days before so phoned to see if they were connected. They knew exactly what the problem was and gave us all the information we needed to get a temporary fix to sort us whilst we got home. Phoned us several times to make sure we were okay. Ordered the parts needed and fixed it immediately on our return. Thank you once again

Don’t appear to have a clue. My partner took her car down to have the cooling system filled as it was overheating and blowing the expansion cap. The day after she got the car back she told me there was no heat coming from the vents and the temperature gauge was not positioned in the middle, which is an obvious sign that there is air in the cooling system. A couple of days later the car overheated again although this time the expansion cap didn’t blow. I checked the invoice to find out what they’d actually done for it to take them three days and noticed my partner had paid £96. I rang and asked to speak to somebody about the cost and was told that somebody would ring me back. After hearing nothing, I went down and questioned why it had cost almost £100 for a 25 minute job. The man in the reception was useless, telling me it took so long because it wasn’t bleeding right so they had to do it three times. Should the customer be paying more because their ‘mechanics’ are incompetent? After all, refilling a coolant system is a pretty novice job for anybody, and should take no more than an hour at a push. When I said that there was no heat coming from the vents I was rudely told that they were working fine when they’d finished with it. Strange how they suddenly stopped blowing hot overnight. I told him that it had overheated again but didn’t blow the expansion cap and was told that it’s working as it should as the cap didn’t blow. Anyone would know that the cap didn’t blow because the air in the system compressed. A bit of help for next time, there are two bleed screws for this particular cooling system. A simple search on Google would tell you that. And you should put the heaters on the highest setting to allow the coolant to flow into the matrix. £96 for some clown to attempt to fill a cooling system is ridiculous. Take your business elsewhere.
