These days the fact you can get an appointment makes it worth hanging on to! We recently had check ups with a new dentist who turned out to be not really a dentist because she was foreign and hadn't done the UK exams even though she qualified in her own country. Apparently that means she can't do more complex treatments but as we were only having a check up it didn't matter! With the shortage of dentists in England why is it not easier (cheaper?) for foreign trained dentists to get accreditation here?

I have been under the care of Priyanka Krishnakumari for a while. What a wonderful, kind, gentle and extremely caring dentist. She is aware of my anxiety when visiting the practice, but she puts me at ease and takes her time to ease my worries. I can only recommend, a now have less fears. Plus all the reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. Thank you

Been a client for many years, but my experience today is the best ever. Jonathan introduced himself by his first name, looked at my teeth, then told me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. He was so warm and welcoming! Excellent!

Dentists are another sector treating customers like cash cows. With the high cost of living its this what you do not need. Hate the fact nearly every time you see someone different. Too much chatter and you fill a form for the dentist, who pays no attention to it. Takes needless X-rays and never waits for them to be developed before kicking you out of the door and telling you the result. States and scares you into booking more expensive treatment with a hygienists. Expense just to tell you how to brush your teeth. At £23.80 you would think they would have the decency to offer to clean your teeth while there. This just shows what a ripoff the NHS would be if you had to pay for treatment. Dentists and opticians rip you off enough.

I have nothing bad to say about this practice, they are always professional and friendly- I no longer dread my dental visits! Recently needed an emergency appointment and was seen quickly and received outstanding care

I usually see Amy(who has helped me so much with my nerves and is amazing) and have moved with her to her lovely new private dentist however before the move Amy refereed me to Dr Gray as I needed an extraction that was going to be complex, I attended my appointment along side tons of nerves as I’m petrified of the dentist so seeing a new dentist was having a massive impact on the nerves however I was early and Dr Gray knowing in was nervous came to get me so I was waiting, I entered the room and nurse Rachel was in there who I used to see with Amy. The first time I ever went to the dentist I hadn’t been in about 5 years and I was shaking like a leaf, Rachel really did her upmost to try keep me calm so my nerves were instantly a bit more settled. Dr Gray talked me through the full process and couldn’t have gone in to anymore detail if he had tried, he was so patient with me. If you are lucky enough to have Dr Gray nursed by Rachel I envy you! Jenny who I often speak to on reception is also a very lovely lady. When you go in to some dentists and doctors the atmosphere is so clinical but Jenny is always so welcoming! If you can get in to Abbey dental on the NHS I would highly recommend it.

Really disappointed to have spent three hours on the phone to the NHS line who confirmed that they were accepting new NHS patients only to be told they aren't upon contacting them. They are only accepting patients onto a 5 year waiting list. Unacceptable when I am trying to find care for my young daughter.

Had tooth pain, was told I might not be seen the same day but I would get a call back. Within 1hr 20 mins from me first calling, I had a call back, got seen and was back home with my antibiotics. I can’t remember the ladies name but she was so nice explained things clearly, so grateful she could see me. Absolutely brilliant service. Thank you
