   Me and my family have been going to have our hair done for over 15 years, maxine and her team are all so friendly and thoughtful and maxine really goes the extra mile for all her client's. She has been brilliant with both my children who both originally were scared of having their hair cut and she has been especially thoughtful and patient with my son would struggle to sit still and can be very sensory sensitive and has always been so helpful adapting and catering to his needs. It's lovely to be able to have your hair done in such a friendly relaxing atmosphere, where the cuts and colours are affordable and 100% time and effort is put into everyone's cut and style. Maxine has a heart of gold. Also she has done an amazing job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic, working in health care myself it has be comforting to see how well she has protected her staff and customers, well done hats off to you all!

   I have been using Maxine's since i moved to the area 8yrs ago & i don't let anyone else touch my hair. Maxine is THE most professional, delightful, hard working hairdresser around. I have had crazy colours put on my hair here & recently today i have had the most beautiful colour put on my head. My daughter has had hi-lights done here Maxine really is amazing. Even now with lockdown still Maxine remains vigilant regarding mask wearing Maxine herself will wear a mask & a visor while doing hair wether it's cutting or colouring Maxine sticks to the rules. The salon is ALWAYS clean & tidy even before lockdown the place has always remained clean & tidy. This place is more than a hairdressers it's a place where you come out feeling a million bucks like i did today you get great conversation & you can have a laugh & joke there as-well as having an amazing haircut & colour.

   Had a much needed visit yesterda (17.04.21) for highlights and cut & blowdry. So happy with the results. I have been going to Maxine's now for about 20years and, for somebody who used to put going to a hairdresser on a par with a visit to the dentist, I have always found Maxine and her staff very friendly, professional and welcoming, and the shop is always clean. Throughout these lockdowns Maxine would periodically message to check I was ok and keep us updated when she was able to reschedule appointments. Due to previous lockdowns coming into force just as my appointments came round I have had several appointments cancelled over the past few months. Maxine promised me she'd book me in as soon as she could when they were allowed to open, and she stuck to that promise. Walking in today I felt so welcomed by Maxine & Meaghan and that they were genuinely pleased to see me. The shop was clean and all precautions were in place - wearing of masks, sanitiser available - so felt safe visiting.

   Right the way back when I was an infant, Maxine gave me my very first haircut. And now, 25 years later, she’s the only person who’s ever cut my hair. I would never even consider going to anyone else - in the same way that Lord Sugar would never consider getting his cars from anywhere other than Rolls Royce. Maxine always welcomes you into her shop with kindness and warmth, and really makes you feel like a part of her family. After I had major spinal surgery, Maxine went the extra mile ensuring that my visits were comfortable, catering to my specific needs. Her professionalism and skill for hairdressing is reflected in the fact that her appointment books are full to the brim of returning customers. A single visit is all that’s required to become a regular, yet now because she’s acquired so many over the course of her career, you would be exceptionally fortunate to find yourself amongst her clientele. Not to mention that as a vulnerable person with a chronic lung condition, Maxine’s diligent focus on hygiene means that there is nobody you could trust more to keep you safe during the pandemic.

   I have been using Maxine’s hairdressers for over 20 years. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I’ve always had excellent service from them. I find it very hard to believe the negative reviews. Maxine’s has always been clean and tidy, and even more so now as each work station is cleaned between clients. I have never heard any negative comments about other clients or people walking past the shop! To my knowledge, Maxine’s hasn’t taken on any new clients for several years due to remaining loyal to their clients who have been with them since they opened. If they were to take on new clients, I would definitely recommend them. I’ve always had the hair cut I’ve asked for with no problem.
