   I really did not want to write a review but this business needs to do better. I had a 3pm appointment, on arrival was not greeted by anyone so I just sat at the front, that was a red flag. Then I was asked what I’m having after being seated for around 20 minutes. I was told all the people are walk ins, I was surprised because people who have booked should be priority. Any how sat there a bit longer until the owner told me she had about 3 people to tend to so I said I would wait in the car. After a while I went back in. From she started to do my hair I knew it was a big No! I told her it don’t look right and she knew herself she told me to style the front myself, so I took the comb and started styling it myself but I knew it was already a mess up. I asked for it to be washed out and they did but that is not the point. I could have done something else in the 2+ hours that was wasted I’m just so annoyed. If you know you can’t do a style don’t fool the customer and do rubbish in their head just tell them you don’t special in certain styles I would have appreciated it. I’m going out tomorrow and have to do my hair myself now because I thought I was going to get a nice style. The staff need to be more welcoming on arrival also be mindful of other people’s time.

   Very disappointed, I rand up to book my appointment told them exactly what I wanted, I arrived for my appointment on time, I was sitting there for 45 minutes before I was seen only to be told I couldn't have what I asked for over the phone, I was told that I never told them, but I did, l wrote everything down, so I knew, I even asked about the price I was told I don't know as I don't do braids. This hair salon is outdated, you need to have a better appointment system, and listen to the people who ring up instead of rushing to get you off the phone and forgetting to write things down in your appointment book, l'm sorry but after today (1st of March 2025) l won't be going back or recommending Gloria hair salon to any of my friends or family.

   Best hair salon for Afro hair in Handsworth/lozells/aston. The level of service is warm and the pride in their work is wonderful. I could see all the customers coming out happy- including myself and my little boy. The treatment for hair is wonderful! I’ll be returning soon.
