Go get your hair cut elsewhere, they just want your money overpriced for a dry cut... when you hardly took anything off. Make up your mind on the price don't give one price and increase it when it's time to pay. Fools.
I've been getting my hair cut at Headstart for years but I left incredibly disappointed. Today I walked in and asked if they had availability for a dry cut. My intention was to have my mid hair length cut to just above my collarbone so quite a substantial cut. I mentioned to the receptionist that I only had £20 cash on me so would this cut fall within that. She stated a dry cut would be between £11-19. I was sat on Marie's chair for 4 minutes. Within this time, she had talked me out of having my hair cut to the original length and mentioned as a busy mum, it would be easier to tie my hair up then have it short. I agreed with this. She then proceeded to cut what she called the 'wispy bits'. Once done, I got up to see there was barely anything on the floor. Running out of time to get home, I went to the till to pay to be told by Marie said this would be £15. When I said this sounded like a lot, she looked at me blankly and proceeded to provide the £5 change from my £20. I understand that times are hard but this was daylight robbery. I spoke to some others who have recently had their hair cut with more complexity, one of which told me she got a fringe and layers for £12 from Debbie. I won't be returning to Headstart again due to the lack of transparent pricing.
Visited headstart for the first time today, had the wonderful Debbie do my cut, colour and finish. Absolutely fantastic job! Colour is perfect and the exact lightness I wanted! Thank you so much. Will deff be seeing you again and will recommend lots! Great atmosphere in the shop too, very friendly people xx
I can't recommend Headstart enough! The staff are all so lovely and always take good care of you. I have had the lovely Steph do my hair today in preparation for my wedding, and I am over the moon with it. 10/10 for service and care that Steph and the team offer every time. Highly recommend!
I was so much apprehensive about my daughters haircut, after growing her hair for long time i was looking for someone who can understand what I want to be done with her hair and Steph did amazing job, she did exactly the same way I wanted it to look like. I’m so so happy after years of searching i found the hair dresser which I was looking for.
Steph is the best hairdresser i have ever had! She is so good at what she does. She takes time and makes so much effort to make sure your hair is what you want. I have naturally dark brown hair, at previous hair dressers when i had blonde highlight they always were dull or yellow. Steph has made my hair a perfect bright blonde. She is such a great hairdresser. Steph is friendly and easy to talk to, which is fab when you spend 3.5 hours there. Can't recommend enough!!! xxx
HeadStart and more importantly Steph are now my go to salon/stylist. Steph has worked tirelessly over a 12 month period to get me to my desired colour. Plus she has always given great advice on the correct aftercare for my hair.
Have been visiting Headstart for over 10 years now. The staff are always really accommodating and always up for a laugh. The salon is always clean, tidy and well looked after. Special shout out to Marie who’s a great stylist, who always takes her time and makes her customers feel welcome. I Won’t be changing hairdressers anytime soon, that’s down to Marie and the staff at Headstart.
