   I have been a customer of Mel's for over 12 years and we've been though many styles and colours over that time! She is always ready to offer professional advice on the best cut or colour. The service the salon offers is excellent and they are a very friendly team. I always feel welcome and relaxed in the salon and can recommend Mel as a great hair stylist.

   Recently left the salon feeling absolutely gutted with the colour of my hair, weren’t even asked how I preferred it styled. Even had the opinion from another professional colourist who also agreed it was badly done. I went back the following day of opening with a friendly and polite attitude to ask Mel to take a look at it, however had to deal with a defensive and argumentative owner who made me feel like it was my own fault for not explaining myself clearer and for not saying something on the day it was done. She didn’t like the fact I pointed out it states the salon is open till 5pm online which doesn’t correspond with her price-lists and door signs. She promised me half my money back which actually wasn’t my intentions for going back, however received an unexpected email later on in the day which accused me of being a liar and went back on her word of the refund - I was no longer entitled to it because it was a case of miscommunication, not any wrong doing on their behalf and then was threatened with her legal team if I wished to take it any further. I have never left a bad review in my life and I wouldn’t want to tarnish the reputation of a small business like this, but I am absolutely disgusted with the way I’ve been treated and spoken to after spending a lot of money - I would not recommend to anybody.

   First time going to this salon and I have to say she was a lovely lady. I was made to feel so comfortable straight away. Had what was a new style for me and I was nervous but i honestly couldnt fault it. Really loved my hair when i walked out which is unusual for me! Highly recommend this salon.
