    A warning to anyone buying from Meadowhall motors. Darren is a dishonest owner that does not comply with uk law. He failed to fix my cars coolant leak and charged me for picking up the car. He commit fraud claiming a 3rd party was picking up my car and charging Β£80. This quickly jumped to Β£120 when I requested a receipt. The guy turned up in causal clothes and unmarked small truck. It was like americas dumbest criminals when I asked him to write down his business details and he wrote down a postcode that matched Meadowhall motors but with a random road that didn’t match. When I picked up the car an hr earlier than agreed I saw this guy in his garage and he ducked down behind the other cars. You could make this up. Anyway Darren’s fix was to fill the coolant with water and blame me saying I had no idea how to screw the cap on and that’s what made it leak 1 litre every few miles driven. Bear in mind i service my own cars and have done for years. After it happened again and a burning smell of oil was noticed by another garage I had to contact consumer rights and follow their instructions to reject the car. A diagnostic reported coolant issue that required further investigation and a failing turbo. Darren ignored 2 recorded delivery letters and emails. Once again Darren resorted to childish actions saying the person that signed for the letter sent to his address did not work there. Anyway the credit card also attempted to contact him and was also ignored. They have now paid me out. I have of course lost out on money but was able to buy another car from a reputable seller. I would advise anyone to only buy a car using part payment via a credit card. If you do not have any protection in place and you have to use court action then I wish you luck. Darren let’s the car industry down as there are honest places out there but eventually regulation will make is hard even for the honest seller.

    Have started using this garage for past 4 years never had a problem with the work it always to a high standard staff very professional and helpful and prices always very reasonable Darren the owner cannot do enough for you would strongly recommend them brilliant service

    Avoid at all costs. I bought a car from Darren who owns Meadowhall Motors and he gave me 30 days warranty. A day after purchase, the engine light comes on. Darren then proceeded to ignore my calls, and when I went to see him in person he refused to fix the issue as he knew about be fault before selling the car. He kept trying to avoid responsibility and turn me away. This now will cost me over Β£700 to fix. Dishonest person, please do not trust this person and avoid at all costs. I would give a zero star rating as I’ve been lied to and sold a car that was faulty and the 30 day warranty was not honoured by Darren. Very poor customer service.

    I went to get my car AC re-gassed and the staff was very friendly and polite. Did not have to book in and they did it straight away. I was glad as I needed to travel to London later in afternoon. I was taken to waiting room. The AC was sorted and I got very cold air and had a comfortable journey to London thanks to Meadowhall Motors. Thank you very much. Would definitely go again.

    Top class service from a 5 star place!! Thank you Darren and the team. Darren you are a legend and a top guy!! Bought our car from here yesterday, the service and communication from this guy is top notch. Honest and true to his word, commited to excellent customer service. Despite living 2 mins from at least 4 garages, we will be going here for future work, mot and services, as Loyalty from a company is very rare these days!! Thanks again Darren the car is just what my Mrs wanted shes over the moon. Jack and Alyssa Rose. Cant go wrong here, would highly recommend.

    I bought a car for my son from these guys, they bent over backwards for me. They were attentive to detail and even addressed a few minor issues well after the purchase. The car has been reliable. A refreshing change to find a garage with such a positive and pleasant attitude. I would have no hesitation in going back to them.

    I can only comment on the body work side of this garage but the lad does an excellent job. He's friendly and reasonable prices and the work is outstanding. Done quickly and with brillant customer service.

    I recently bought a BMW advertised with full service history. The car arrived with no paperwork whatsoever. There was an owner's manual that was water damaged. I was told the service history had been left in the office and would be posted. Three weeks later still no service history and I have messaged numerous times and am just being ignored. They were very helpful in informing me that there was a bulb fault. They said it was due to uprated headlights and the only way to remedy this would be to put standard head units back in. Not the case at all as the headlights in the car are the standard units, turned out to be an intermittent brake light bulb. On top of all this both front tyres are practically bald and I had to have the car put on diagnostics as it was shaking at idle and running lumpy this turned out to be a faulty oxygen sensor fault that hadn't been cleared not too fussed about that but also came to realise I needed a new battery. Rear brake discs were cracked, pads crumbled when removed and the brake sensor was disconnected. Not happy and very disappointed. Doesn't give me much hope in the apparent 64 point check and service they claimed the car had. Will be servicing soon and wouldn't recommend... These places are all the same!!! They didn't even send the log book off or provide the green supplement absolute jokers! IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY I HAVE NEVER VISITED YOUR BUSINESS AS IT WAS A LONG DISTANCE SALE. YOU HAVE DONE NO REPAIR WORK WHATSOEVER. YOU IGNORED MY MESSAGES, I NEVER RECEIVED ANY SERVICE HISTORY AS PROMISED AND I HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW V5. VERY DISHONEST COMPANY STAY CLEAR!!!!

    Having moved to the area not long ago I was looking for recommendations to get my car serviced and MOT'd. Meadowhall Motors were mentioned a number of times and so I booked in with them. Apart from being warmly welcomed, the service from start to finish was very professional. I was talked through advisories and made to feel confident that the work carried out was very thorough. Will definitely use again!!
