   Purchased a car privately in Barnsley at the end of 2023. As part of the deal, the vehicle I purchased had a brand new Mot, with not one advisory. This was carried out only 3 days prior to my purchase to provide reassurance that it was roadworthy. On the way back, the vehicle produced a 4X4 fault which initially would clear, and then reappear after driving a short distance. The vehicle also smoked heavy under hard acceleration. Took it to a local garage to be told that although it looked like the DPF was there, it was decored, as differential pressure was monitored and found to be non existent at full load. The magnetic rings on the wheel speed sensors had been worn through. In addition to these issues, it was throwing up various canbus faults which suggested the vehicle had been tampered with further. I link this to Jumbo Self drive having had the V5 document and question how it ever passed an MOT with these issues 3 days prior to my purchase. The emissions it was kicking out alone, were 3 times over the legal limit!

   No axe to grind here, they only test a car. So they have no incentive to fail it as they have no benefit from getting any work. If it fails it deserves to.

   Avoid this place at all costs!!!! My daughter bought a car with 11 months MOT and it was absolutely rotten underneath. The MOT cert stated that a Mark Timms did the MOT so this garage is clearly allowing this man to put on unlawful MOTS. Absolutely appalled at this. It will be took further.

   Get an unbiased test here as they only test cars. Not repairing the cars that they are testing gives the vehicle a totally autonomous test . This gives the customer the confidence that if it deserves to fail it fails. This garage receives no benefit in failing your vehicle.
