I went in after having pain in my tooth and being referred through nhs ,I ended up getting seen 45 minutes after my appointment time and when I went in I told the dentist I had a hole in my tooth and it was sensitive so he put a temporary filling in and said to come back the week after for a proper filling and an x-ray. I went fir the follow up and did the x-ray ,the same dentist gave me 2 local anaesthesia injections and didn't wait for them to take affect before drilling into the temporary filling to put the permanent one in but instead of removing all the temp filling he just drilled a whole in to save time I was physically calling out in pain saying ow and wait, I asked why it hurt even more after he said he more than likely caught the nerve and that it should stop hurting within a few days ,he said if it doesn't then i had to come back and have it removed ,that was nearly 3 weeks ago and I am in constant pain ,talking pain killers everyday for my tooth and jaw pain but I am absolutely terrified to go back and be seen by the same dentist incase he does even more damage.

Such a fantastic place, my wife Lynn has had some trouble with a filling and Dr Laura has been amazing in sorting the problem out and Dr Laura and her nurse are so friendly and professional that they make you feel at ease and also the reception staff have been really good in sorting appointments out.

Dr. Laura and her nurse gave me the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist! They were incredibly kind, gentle, and reassuring, making me feel completely at ease. Thanks to them, I no longer feel worried or scared about dental visits. Their professionalism and care are truly outstanding—I highly recommend them!

I had an appointment with Dr. Laura, and honestly, she’s amazing. Super professional, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel completely at ease. You can tell she really cares about her patients and knows exactly what she’s doing. Her nurse, Elese, was also fantastic, kind, attentive, and always making sure everything was smooth and comfortable. The whole experience felt really professional and welcoming. I 100% recommend her.

I got sent here by 111 when I needed an emergency appointment. I was 26 weeks pregnant at the time of my appointment. I went for my appointment and the dentist told me the pain was caused by tooth decay. He never asked what treatment I would have preferred and just put a filling in. A few weeks passed and I had to ring 111 again for another emergency appointment. This time I got sent to Doncaster. The pain was getting unbearable and making me physically sick. When I went for my appointment in Doncaster they told me I had an infection and the tooth was too damaged causing the nerve to start dying. The dentist explained to me that the best treatment would be either root canal or extraction. Sadly I was 31 weeks pregnant (in the 3rd trimester) and the risk of premature labour caused by the extraction was too high. I'm now on antibiotics for the infection and have to wait until baby is born to have the tooth removed. I feel like when I visited Hoyland the dentist should have asked what treatment I would have preferred. I explained to him that the pain was that bad that it was affecting my sleep, I couldn't eat and I was taking the maximum amount of paracetamol just to get a little bit of relief. I feel like if more was done I wouldn't be waking up in the early hours of the morning with extreme toothache. My pregnancy has been hard enough without this aswell. If the dentist as Hoyland would have removed the tooth when I visited (extraction is safe during the 2nd trimester) I wouldn't be in the pain I'm in now. I will not be returning to this dentist again.
