Excellent zoo. They’re making a new cage for the lions. So they have plenty of room to roam

It would be better if the animals there didn't die, they are all so weak.

I don’t normally comment but I need to help people save money. I paid over £80 for myself and my two children. Please don’t waste your money!! Half of the cages were empty… it was soo bad they had dogs and pigeons caged as wild animals. The horses and goats are malnourished. The monkey is isolated and looks like it’s going to have a mental breakdown. All the animals look like they are in desperate need of care. I went on the 06/04/25.

Absolutely loved our family day out at the Land of the Lions exhibit at London Zoo! Right from the start, it felt like we'd stepped into a little piece of India. The attention to detail in the decor is something else – it's not just about seeing the lions, but also about feeling immersed in their natural habitat. Watching the lions felt so up close and personal. We got to see them from various angles, which was brilliant, especially for the kids who couldn't get enough. There's this one spot where it feels like there's nothing but a glass pane between you and the lions. It's thrilling and a bit surreal! What really stood out was how the exhibit tells a story, not just about the lions, but also about conservation efforts. There are loads of informative signs and interactive elements that make it super engaging for all ages. It's educational without being boring, which is a win when you're trying to keep kids interested. Also, major props to the staff there. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly and knew their stuff. They answered all our curious questions and shared fascinating facts about the lions, which made the experience even more special.

The lions at London Zoo are the lesser known Indian lion, the Gir Lion. The pride maybe smaller than expected, but probably because it represents reality.

I'll be honest- seeing the male lion here pacing up and down put me off zoos for life. I won't take my daughters to one- better to save up and see these magnificent creatures in the wild.

A night at the lion lodge... best sleepover ever. Noisy though they are, the lion noises aren’t disturbing so much as soothing! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Even Bhanu was welcoming in his own way! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone of any age.

By recognising the size and the quality of the zoo I had a huge expectation for the lions but I was so disappointed Only a couple of lion and lioness, very small area Not so much fun
