Very beautiful area of London. The more lively and gorgeous places.

I honestly could not think of a better example of Steam Punk meets Heath Robinson, a warren of tunnels, platforms, noise and people. I never seem to find the right exit either, and I have been coming here for more than sixty years when I was a little child back in the fifties, I am seventy-one now, and still go in to Town as we say in London. When I am clothes shopping, it's usually Oxford street. Yes, it is old-fashioned, a long street with loads of shops. But I cannot see what is not to like. It always had its messy side, and rates are too high. But nothing stays the same, and it will be back, I hope, not necessarily Bigger Bolder Better etc. But for me a lovely place to go, you can always go into Soho if you want, Regent Street or the super posh New Bond Street and gawp, that's what I do. It is the heart of London, and for all its faults it continues to thump, and long may it continue. Please don't pedestrianise it, Herr Khan, you are only dropping the problem on others. I live on one of those roads designated a thoroughfare, so apparently it is OK to run me over, just not the posh people, that live in the 'Environmental Area'. If you come to London, Oxford street is a must, and its Portal is the wonderfully mad Oxford Circus. The picture I did in Photoshop a couple of nights ago, and I liked it, so I am putting it up with my review, for some reason I like to make my portraits bald at the moment, I hope you like it too. I added this one today Oct 20 2025, did a couple of weeks ago, I thought it might keep lonely Rorschach girl happy, she evolved more than sprang from the screen and done without any AI all in Photoshop.

Oxford Circus is a road junction connecting Oxford Street and Regent Street in the West End of London. It is also the entrance to Oxford Circus tube station.

I never aim to shop on Oxford street at Christmas time as it’s too over crowded but this year it had to be done. Not too much queues in shops due to extra staff and there is a good shopping Christmas vibe BUT seen stealing, pickpockets and people annoying security guards. Next year hopefully I’ll have my Christmas shopping done by mid December. Plenty of food options with seats, it wasn’t unbearable with the traffic. I didn’t try to go down to the underground as one of the videos showed how busy it was just to go down the stairs. Tourists please be more aware of your phones, shopping bags and pickpockets, even inside the shops it happens. I seen people with small children trying to get through on Oxford street, but this type of day is too overcrowded, I personally would avoid it with small kids.

Located right by the famous streets of London, Oxford Circus is a very important intersection and interchange for many key tube lines. Station is relatively straightforward, and systematic. Just pray that the tube drivers don't go on strike; it can be quite a hassle.

Too crowded, even though I visited on a week day. I mean I suppose it's understandable because this is central London; but to me it seems that it's only really appealing to younger generations. Even though I love going shopping like most of us, I can only go to places like this once in 2 or 3 years.

Very nice street, the Oxford Circus tube station is extremely packed during peak hours and holidays. Security is very bad here a lot of pickpocket and thieves, even got our purse pickpocketed during rain time. Be extremely careful!!

First time ever seeing the lights in London ever. What an experience to see. There was angles going down the entire street. Each one had a different type of action. The other street was full of stars. Oh and also can't forget the truck from Halo!!!

There are always performance of street artist, singers, dancers etc it’s a great meeting point, and I love the screens. It’s a iconic symbol of london.

I really like this station with the multiple entrances and the red station front that you instantly know as an underground station when you see it when I was there I found the station not too busy but when coming up to street level it was busy.
