I think the benefits of having a group to train with weekly can’t be understated. Robyn is direct and great at what she does, but she doesn’t cross the line into being harsh which I actually experienced at a different place I studied Meisner at, so that was always appreciated. She helped me see there were many more approaches to the work that I hadn’t explored before and I can’t wait to go back to masterclass and keep it all up! “We were a party of four for a Friday night dinner in this surprisingly big pub! The staff were brilliant at getting us seated, we had booked but the pub was heaving with punters! After being quickly settled, we were given menus and ordered pre-dinner drinks that quickly appeared on out table. Our orders were efficiently taken with advice being sought, and given, on various dishes by the waiter. The food proved to be very good, and the wine, both the red and the white were excellent, and not so expensive for the quality! It is a great venue for dinner, however, given its size there was a constant loud volume of noise, and I am not sure if I'd go again unless it was less quiet of an evening during the week.”

“First time at this particular PI and the difference between here and the one up the road (London Twickenham Stadium) are poles apart. There is parking but we turned up around 21:00 and I was lucky to find a spot; the car park does serve the Beefeater next door. The front door is automatic which is handy when you have a lot of bags but the inner doors are manual. We were greeted by a friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic member of staff. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the building and although there was a busy main road and a bus stop outside it wasn’t that noisy. The room and bathroom seem bigger and as usual the bed is very comfortable. The wardrobe/ shelving unit is lovely and big, easily fits 4 days of our clothes and four big shelves for all your other bits. In this PI the rooms have A/C and having bus stops outside is an added bonus. Only negative is that the toilets don’t flush very well.”

The room was spotless and comfy, but the real MVPs were the seabass (flaky perfection) and crisp apple juice at dinner—simple, satisfying fuel for the soul. “I travel from Hoxton down to Bellevue Road in Clapham because I trust no-one but Sam Bayliss from Laban with my hair. The barber studio is nice and rustic and has good vibes. Prices are affordable and people always compliment me on my cut after I visit Sam. I highly recommend Laban if you want to look sharp.”
