Generally as a rule I don’t write reviews I just don’t go back to places I don’t like but I felt this place deserved a review. I have visited this pub over the last 5/6 months since moving to New Haw with friends and family. On other occasions I had commented to friends how lovely the pub manager was and how she was always so happy and helpful including on 1 occasion she even went into the kitchen and made myself and my husband a basket meal as everywhere was closed and we hadn’t eaten!! Last night I visited the pub it was like a ghost town, I was then advised by a rude bar man that I waited for over 8 mins that the kitchen was closed at 8:30. I haven’t actually seen this man before he was a short guy on the chubbier side. When I asked where the manager was he was very rude and said I am the manager what is the problem. I can safely say my view has changed based on this and probably explains why it is like a ghost town. I leave this review hoping that it might ensure going forward he thinks how to talks to people.

Dusch a friendly pub. Dogs get water before I get beer. Good food - spicy niche Cajun chicken and perfect service.

What a lovely pub, staff are friendly and the decor is relaxing. The toilets are amazing, clean and checked regularly. I would definatly recommend. 10/10. Needs more parking.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! Bed bugs everywhere!! Cleaner is an absolute joke who sits drinking coffee all morning, the owner uses people as you will see the previous lady and her son will return. Paid cash in hand to avoid the tax man. Then when it all comes back on him and he’s family think he’s to friendly with me and their is more to it he then gets rid of the bubbly, happy lovely lady to bring back in the old miserable lady. This isn’t a family pub anymore. You will see the changes coming.

Great traditional British pub. Friendly, welcoming. Prices very reasonable. Facilities clean and well maintained. Would be pleased to make my local if lived in the area. Please support this venue.

The real factor that made this stand out was the effort that busy staff made to make the customer welcome. Room was clean, comfortable and had a very good electric shower. Heating in the room didn't function but on a fairly mild night, not a problem. Overall excellent value.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my toddler in the en suite room. I didn't spend much day time here, only came back go sleep but customer service was amazing. Loved how the shower pressure was good with nice hot water. None of those hotel AC heaters too, it was central heating which was on every morning and evening (we had -1 temperature at the time we stayed) so we had a nice toasty room. They have a kitchen with cereals, toast, milk, butter etc which we didn't use but was nice to have. Pub wasn't very noisy. Overall beautiful little place to stay. We didn't dine at the pub but the menu looked good with lots of veggie options too. Thank you.

Nice pub with a small car park, good pub grub at reasonable prices, very helpful staff and a good selection of drinks; just a shame I was a designated driver! They looked after our group superbly, well done guys.

I visited the Station pub on 4.12.22 for Sunday lunch with my family. I ordered the chicken roast. Although 50% of the tables were vacant we had to wait for 45 minutes before the food arrived. The meal I received looked like a child's portion in comparison to the other meals and asked if there were more vegetables to come. I was told that they were under the chicken which about the size of a chicken thigh. Indeed the 2 small potatoes, 2 carrots and a cabbage were there. The food was luke warm at best as was my daughter's roast beef. We ordered some gravy in the hope that hot gravy would warm it all up a little. The smallest jug of luke warm gravy finally arrived, so that didn't work. Don't misunderstand me the food was OK but cold. I told the waiter that the food was cold and could he worm it up. They stuck it in the microwave and it was hot. When we had finished the meal he asked if everything was ok so I said that it was disappointing and that the food was cold. He basically shrugged, collected the plates and disappeared. My daughter and her husband ordered a dessert.... which took another 30 minutes to arrive. Her father in law, a regular informed another more experienced member of staff that one of use was not very happy with the meal. Instead of asking me directly her excuse was "we've got a new chef" and did not pursue this any further. I get that sometimes food can be below standard but the most annoying aspect was the complete lack of customer service. They just didn't care. They certainly weren't over run with customers and I don't think a new chef should be an excuse - it was a very basic Sunday lunch...... not rocket science. Also the Ladies were freezing cold with no hot water to wash hands. This was possibly the worst Sunday lunch experience I have had with terrible customer consideration. Luckily I am not local and will never visit this pub again
