The only real upside for this hotel is it's location which is within easy walk of Kingston shopping, train station, walks along the river and into the various large parks nearby. Other than that the place feels very much like it's run by an accountant rather than anyone with any sense of hospitality. On checking in we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned each day. We said yes, it wasn't. When getting to the room we found 1x large towel and 1x small towel in our room (for 2 adults and a child). I asked at reception for more towels to be delivered to the room, they gave me 1 more large towel and 1 more small towel that I had to take back to the room myself. We didn't receive any more towels during our stay. On 2 out of the 3 nights we were staying there was a very loud (and very depressing looking) corporate Christmas party in the bar and restaurant. We could hear this clearly from the 3rd floor. There was a sign in the lift that we could get earplugs from reception which shows they knew how bad it would be. The view from our room was improved by the scaffolding and building materials. If not for those we would be treated to a view of a dirty wall (the builders are there on weekdays and make a lot of noise all day as well as block the accessible entrance but we were at least informed of this mess in advance). The room was dirty with paint pealing from the wall, grubby carpets, scum all around the sink and broken furniture. Dirty plates were left on the corridor floor outside rooms for 24+ hours. There was someone smoking on our floor and the corridor smelt of cigarettes. The room mini fridge was never stocked and we were never left with any water in the room, having to frequently purchase the £5+ bottles from the bar or walk into Kingston to buy some there. On the plus side the mini fridge was able to get incredibly cold. The food was bland, cold and tasteless. We ordered room service with 2 main meals and only received 1 knife and 1 fork. The breakfast was bulk cooked and tasted like it. Frequently items in the breakfast buffet ran out and weren't replaced. Many people we spoke with didn't seem to know there was a hotel here. We wish we didn't either. We'll stay somewhere nicer (and probably cheaper) next time we're in the area.

Yesterday we had a party dinner in the hotel, the place was amazing, the atmosphere is very good and elegant. But the service it was poor. The waiters was chatting at the bar, kitchen area and was no water on the table. I supposed to ask them few times to go and change. The tables was with full of empty glasses, no-one collected until the dessert finished. Then only one waiter was using a tray to collect, the rest of the waiters was collecting by hand, putting fingers inside in the glass. A was thinking maybe we comed and organised this party in a cheap pub not in a 4 star hotel. The food quality was also very poor and cheap. Wasn't any taste, the vegetables it was hard and undercooked. In the hole experience was poor and cheap.

It’s a shame that I have to leave a negative review, because the staff were genuinely helpful and polite, but the overall stay was extremely disappointing. I booked this hotel at the start of January 2025 as part of a surprise night out for my girlfriend. As my girlfriend is blind, we specifically booked an accessible room and understood it may cost more, which was fine. However, on arrival we were shocked to discover the entire building was covered in scaffolding and undergoing construction work. We were not informed of this at any stage before arrival. Getting into the hotel with a blind guest was already challenging, and this was made worse by the only main entrance being electric revolving doors. We had to ask staff how a blind person was expected to enter safely. The staff themselves were very friendly and check-in was quick. They also offered support if needed, which we appreciated. However, the accessible room was located on the 4th floor, around several corners and about six doors away from the lift. This is not practical for someone with visual impairment and completely defeats the purpose of booking an accessible room. Once inside the room, it was extremely dark. The lighting was very poor, and we could not open the curtains or windows for fresh air because builders were working directly outside the window, walking back and forth. This meant we had to stay in a dark room with no natural light or ventilation. The bathroom was the only positive — it was large and well-designed. Checking out was quick and again the staff were great, but even leaving the building became difficult. The builders had blocked both fire exits at the front, leaving the only way out through the revolving doors again — which is not safe or suitable for a blind person. But thankfully a member of the front desk managed to squeeze his way through the block door and help us out down the ramp. Staff: ★★★★★ Hotel Accessibility & Conditions: ★☆☆☆☆ The hotel seriously needs to reconsider how it supports guests with accessibility needs, especially during construction. The staff tried their best, but they were let down entirely by the state and setup of the hotel.

Excellent service. Shower was 10/10. Breakfast was good. If traveling by car, location is not great but there is a parkade next to the hotel - £31.50 per 12 - 24hr. Room was £245 but well worth it. The coffee pods in the room were a nice touch. There is also a fridge if you have water etc.

As you’d expect from a Hilton, this is a great venue with plenty of comfort and style. The location is excellent – just a five-minute walk from Kingston station and surrounded by shops, making it very convenient. At the moment, the hotel is undergoing renovation works, which can make it look a little unclear from the outside, but once inside it’s modern, clean, and welcoming. The central location is a big plus, though I did notice that the path leading to the hotel isn’t well lit at night, which could feel a little intimidating for some guests. The staff were fantastic – friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The food was equally impressive. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and later I had the gyros, which was absolutely delicious. The service came with a smile, creating a genuinely warm and positive atmosphere. The décor throughout the hotel is modern, with plenty of comfortable seating areas, making it a nice place to relax as well as stay. Overall, a stylish and convenient hotel with excellent staff and great food. Once the renovation work is complete, it will no doubt feel even more polished – but even now, it’s a very solid choice for a stay in Kingston.

The best Double Tree I have stayed in. Modern comfortable room. USB charging points. Large well positioned TV. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. A special mention for Daniel on reception for his help. Being close to Kingston centre makes it an ideal base for getting in to London. Probably the only negative is the bar prices.

Good hotel in the centre of Kingston. Close to station, river and shopping. Good English breakfast. Some rooms are better standard than other with coffee machine etc., but you can tell by the price when booking. Sometimes noisy at night due to wedding reception, so ask for a higher floor. Not 1/2.

Stunning hotel in every aspect Entrance, reception, bar and dining all very well kept and clean. Rooms are greatly spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was a little firm (for me) however I slept really well. The restaurant was vast and evening staff (Nelson I believe was the gentleman’s name) were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my vegan options. Breakfast was good although vegan options are very basic. I would definitely recommend

We had a business meeting here and the hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and the food delicious. I would recommend it to anyone. It is very convenient to walk to from the train station.

Location is outstanding, the room was acceptable and security was good but service was pretty bad. Several parties were held during our stay: the music was so loud we could not hear our TV and the bar and restaurant shut down all room service - some notice would have neen nice. Housekeep was also very slow (>12hours) to clear trash and dirty dishes from the halls.
