   This was my second visit to Smile Care Centre with my 7-year-old son, who was already very anxious about attending. He hates brushing his teeth and, as a single parent, it’s a daily struggle to get him into a routine. I was really hoping this appointment would give both of us some guidance and support from a professional. Unfortunately, our experience with Nima Namin was the complete opposite of what we needed. Nima Namin spoke down to me, made my son feel extremely uncomfortable, and offered no advice whatsoever. Instead of asking about my son’s diet or habits, he immediately questioned why I “give my son sweets,” despite never asking what my son actually eats. In reality, my son eats far more fruit and veg than sweets — brushing is our real issue, and we were hoping for help with technique. I was also made to feel like I had failed as a parent because of my son’s cracked tooth and some slight decay. The way Nima Namin stared at me felt intimidating and judgmental. My 9-year-old daughter was in the room too, and when I tried to ask for advice for her, he raised his hand to silence me and said he was “focusing on this child.” His manner was arrogant, unprofessional, aggressive, and patronising. To make matters worse, he carried out treatment — a temporary filling — without communicating this to me at all. I had no idea what he had done, as he didn’t explain anything before, during, or after the procedure. He didn’t even say goodbye or offer any encouraging words to my son. He simply turned in his chair, and we left looking at the back of his head. I had to ask the receptionist what treatment my son had actually had. I mentioned that we have been on a waiting list for another dental clinic for a long time. He told me this wasn’t true and that children “don’t have to wait,” which made me feel like he was accusing me of lying. I later phoned the other practice, and they confirmed that we are on the waiting list and that COVID has caused long delays. The receptionist, on the other hand, was lovely — very helpful and understanding. She recommended plaque-revealing tablets to help my son see where he’s missing when brushing, which I bought straight away. I was meant to go in for my own appointment next, but after how we were treated, I refused to go back in only to be spoken to like that again. After sharing my experience at work several people have told me they’ve known a few people who have had similar issues with Nima Namin. If Smile Care Centre wants to protect its reputation, something urgently needs to change

   I have just had an extraction and I found that the treatment was excellent. The anaesthetic needles were virtually painless, the extraction some ten minutes later was swift and painless. The dentist and his staff are friendly and professional and I fully recommend them.

   My wife had her first appointment with this surgery last week, she was quite anxious not having been to a dentist for quite a while, but she immediately felt at ease as the bright, clean well organised surgery and friendly reception staff made us feel very welcome. The dentist was kind & explained thoroughly what treatment was necessary & how this would be carried out.

   Fantastic and professional service. My daughter had 2 extractions ready for her next orthodontics appointment. Dr Namin, Chelsea and all the staff were great. Dr Namin and Chelsea were very patient with my daughter as she was extremely nervous. Thank you ❤️

   I was away from home when I had an issue with my teeth. I urgently needed to see a dentist and the Smile Care Centre arranged an appointment not only the same day but within 90 minutes. I was impressed with this as I also was with all the staff I met. I can only rate the Dentist, the Dental nurse and reception personnel that i met as all being excellent. The dentist examined, took an xray and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Reception were exceptionally helpful with the paperwork and answering my questions. Everyone was really friendly. I don't normally do reviews but here they were so kind, helpful and professional that I have reviewed them. August 2025.
