Mr Ali and the lovely dental assistant are absolutely brilliant, they make you feel so welcome, not only them the guys at reception are also great
My wife and I have been very lucky to find this dentist this year. We've both received excellent treatment and would absolutely recommend the practice. My wife decided to undertake private treatment, ie teeth whitening plus replacement white fillings and the end result has been outstanding. Thank you Dr Shahab Ali and your team for all your hard work.
It was my first visit to Clay Cross Family Dental Centre as I had been looking for a while to find an NHS dentist as my previous dentist had gone totally private patients only. I was really pleased with the way I was welcomed and Dr Ali was really nice and gave my teeth a thorough check.
Absolutely Amazing Dental Centre ! Amazing Team ! Really friendly, right from the start when I was enquiring if NHS Dental Care was available. To my amazement it was after moving to Derbyshire & giving up my old NHS dentist. Sana Sabahath DT really was just so kind & her assistant. The receptionist team were really just so lovely too. Cannot actually believe how lovely it was really spacious & welcoming & modern. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
I've always found this dental practice profeproviding extremely thorough checkups and practically always on time with given appointment time. Reception staff efficient and understanding. My dentist being concerned about a mouth lesion so referred to Royal hospital - luckily it was nothing of concern - however, the consultant praised the dentist for being thorough "unlike the previous patient's" he'd seen.
Waited 4 months for a wisdom tooth referral, only to find when I chased that it hadn’t been done. Each time I visit I’m told I’ll get a scale and polish ‘next time’; not sure what exactly I’m paying for therefore?!!
Ended up here as couldn't get an appointment anywhere. This was August 2022 and made an appointment for Nov 4th as this was the earliest private appointment. NHS is Aug 2024 for registration. You have to pay a £25 deposit for your appointment, which I was told was to cover is you missed your appointment. Anyway, goes to my appointment, told what I need and to make a new appointment. So on 4th Nov, the next available private appointment was 8th March!! So paid for my check up and let the deposit ride for the next appointment in 4 months times. So today, my sister tells me another dentist have some immediate NHS slots available. Rings up and gets booked in. Called Clay Cross Family to do the right thing and cancel my appointments and when I asked about how my deposit is refunded, I was told, oh it's non refundable at all. I, at no point was made aware of this. It's not as if the appointment is in a few hours...its for March 8th 2023!!! Considering the wait times this appointment is going to get filled, it's just a money making scheme. I was going to keep my NHS appointment for Aug 2024 as they are a lot closer but cancelled that now as well. It's £25, it's hardly anything for them but a lot of money for me and feel that this policy should be made a lot clearer when paying. Wished I'd not bothered telling them now and I'd have had my £25 worth of their time!
Appointment for my daughter was at 9 am. First appointment of the day. After 20 minutes found out the dentists was not even at the surgery yet. 4 patients in the waiting room, all of their dentists had not turned up on time. First paragon was called in at 25 past 9 and the original appointment was 9 am. Honestly ridiculous.
Went here from an NHS referral for a wisdom tooth to be pulled as I have/had been in agony with it. Appointment was at 10am. Told to be there 10 minutes early. Went into my appointment at 10:26am..... sat in the chair for literally 2 minutes, before being told they wouldnt be able to pull the tooth, then said, "we can do it privately, it wont be as expensive as private though". So if you can do it privately, why cant you do it on the NHS? Then to really add salt to the wound. I was charged £23.80 for the pleasure. £23.80 for 2 minutes work? Doubt Ronaldo is on that wage. Despicable service avoid at all costs if you are not on their books. Still furious. Still in pain.
I've had three visits now since I joined. First time today of using the waiting room due to covid 19. Found this pleasant. I feel more settled into the practice now as I'm getting into a routine of coming here. Dentist is very friendly and polite. Not had any work done so far other than a check up and part scale and polish. But so far so good. Receptionist seems very friendly also and we'll organised. They have an electronic sign in which is very much up to date. I was impressed with the service today.
