   22 years I have been having my hair cut with Monix from Shrine. I've transitioned from relaxed to my natural curly hair. After many years before hand of hair disasters I can honestly say I've never had one with Monix. I have travelled from the other side of the world to have Monix cut my hair because I know I won't have a hair disaster. If you have afro or mixed curly hair you know it can be a problem for many hair dressers. Shrine doesn't advertise Afro hair, but you won't be disappointed if you go there. Always friendly and professional, and have some great offers on Beauty. I'm loving the eye lash perm I had with Sonia. Five Stars from me.!!!!

   Amazing experience at Shrine every time...lovely atmosphere, such friendly staff and most importantly, I walk out feeling like a million dollars but also like I've had a good catch up with an old pal...love this place, can't rate it highly enough!!!    Been coming here regularly for a cut and colour now for over a year and have had treatments from both Sam and Deana- always been happy with the service and quality of treatment on my long curly hair. Lovely salon on the inside and a really friendly team. Could never go anywhere else!

   I got cluster lashes done at this establishment a week ago. I got there and everything seemed great. I was excited for my new lashes. I got the short lashes and the lady started having issues with my lashes from the get go. Commented on how curly my eyelashes were and that there was an issue getting the lashes on. At that point, I should have just gotten up and gone. Clearly she's not used to customers with 'curly and short' lashes. She must have mentioned this about 10 times and I was getting so irritated. I was fed up by the end because the lashes (to me, anyway) looked absolutely ridiculous. Any complaint i had about the lashes were explained away by how curly my lashes were. I felt that she was paying me to practice on my face rather than the other way round. I gave 2 stars because the lashes grew on me but I'm currently so annoyed because I'm having such a hard time getting them off!! I asked her if I needed solution to take them off but she said "oh no, all you need is hot water on cotton pads and then some oil". About 2 hours I'm still here struggling to get these wretched things off. Any lashes that have come off with this method have taken several of my lashes with them. And I'm not pulling them out either. Thanks a lot Shrine. I will never recommend you.

   Excellent little beautician and salon, I've been going for years now. Very nice ambience and nicely decorated. Staff are very friendly snd welcoming. If you're looking to get waxed I highly recommend seeing Sonja.
