   Went for the first time for hair colouring and a haircut, and I had a truly great experience. Zoe and Katie were both very good, professional, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire appointment. I have thick hair, and even though the salon was busy, Katie never rushed — she took her time cutting and styling it perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend!

   I came here a few times and had my hair done by John who is amazing. He was not in on the day I came to have a balayage last year so I had my hair done by Helen. I came out with bright blonde stripes at my roots. Even the other stylist when I came to get it fixed didn't understand why she did that as it was not at all what I asked for. She also cut my hair about 2 inches shorter than I asked. I left very upset with my hair especially with the money that I had paid for it and the salons positive reputation.

   Usual wonderful service. I had been having difficulty styling my hair at home. John suggested a tweak to my haircut and style, which worked perfectly, even my husband approved! John is always very helpful and professional. I look forward to seeing him.

   Headfirst Salon is a great salon and Helen is a fantastic hairstylist! I always enjoy coming for my hair done because everyone is friendly and we always have a laugh. Whilst being funny, Helen is always very professional in her work - I really recommend her. I’m always there a long time because I have very thick hair and a lot of it. I get my roots done, highlights, a cut and blow dry - and she does a great job. I always come away feeling happy with it - which has not always been true at other hair salons. I’m very fussy!    I was really disappointed with my first appointment for a full head of highlights, cut and blow-dry with Zoe. The week before, I had a consultation with Elly who was very thorough but I had to reschedule due to my availability. When I arrived for my appointment, I didn’t feel listened to, which left me uncomfortable and lacking confidence that Zoe knew what I wanted and was expecting. The highlights themselves were not what I expected compared to over 20 years of having them done. Very few foils were placed at the back and sides of my head (around four on each side and only slightly more at the back), though the top was covered. I’ve never had a “full head” of highlights with so much left undone. I also didn’t get to properly discuss the colour—although I mentioned I wanted a cool blonde, I was simply recommended a toner at extra cost. During the foiling, Zoe frequently checked her phone, which she said was to arrange a trip rather than anything urgent. This came across as unprofessional and made me feel she didn’t want to be there. Later, she suggested I just have my hair blow-dried straight because of the weather but it felt more like she didn’t care to put effort into the finish. The only positive was the 50% first-time discount. Unfortunately, I won’t be rebooking and I’ll need to see another hairdresser soon as I don’t think these highlights will last as they usually do.

   I have been here twice now and John does an Amazing job, highly recommend him. He is full of knowledge and clearly very popular as he is working non-stop booking after booking. The atmosphere is friendly, vibrant, and clean. Great offers available especially on Monday’s.

   Had my hair cut here today by a lovely lady (the lady with plaits) I didn't get her name. She was so friendly and welcoming. Made me a lovely coffee. My hair looks absolutely amazing, she's done it perfect and exactly how I wanted it. I was happy to be told they offer a free fringe trim when needed too as I have been charged for it before. I'll be recommending this salon to everyone and be using it again.
