   LAFHAB felt like a great place to train. Tutors took their time but sometimes it felt a little stretched thin as on busy days it’s hard to get the one to one time needed, but having said that, overall my time with the LAFHAB tutors was great. It took me around 10 months to complete my level 2 and this was with going just once or twice a week when I could manage it. The course content was OK but after completing the course I felt there was still a lot of what seemed basic barbering techniques that weren’t gone over on the course. That’s more an observation of the course content than the course tuition though. Introducing a few men’s hair techniques would be advantageous, block graduation being a massive one! Overall I would say that LAFHAB is a brilliant place to train but it really is perfecting the basics and sending you out to grow from there. The course is pricey but payment plans make it affordable. I would just like to see a bit more content covered, but the syllabus is what it is.

   The academy is such an awesome place to train as a Hairdresser or a Barber. The minute i walked in on my taster day i was made to feel really welcome by the staff and students. I had such a good day i signed up for hairdressing and barbering NVQ level 2. I am 3 quarters through the hairdressing and i am amazed at how quick i have progressed now working on clients all the time. Everybody is really friendly and i have endless support from my fantastic tutors and academy staff as well as my fellow students. The place as a really good vibe and i love being there. anybody considering a career in the hair industry should check this place out.

   I had my hair cut by Madi on Saturday, I was running late due to traffic and getting parked up but she was very understanding and I appreciate that. Madi listened to what I wanted for my hair as I wanted a change to my fringe. She tried to work with my natural curls/waves which made a big difference to my experience. We had a nice chat, Madi was very friendly. Will be back I’m sure!!

   Lesley, Katie and Ewelina have all supported me from Day 1 and helped me grow in confidence massively when I was really nervous to even pick up a pair of scissors initially. I couldn’t have progressed this much without each of their individual support and knowledge. They create a lovely atmosphere to learn and practise in. I don’t want to leave !!
