I have visited this little Gem of a cafe a few times when Iam in Chester. The location is excellent. The food is cooked freshly in front of you, and is of the highest quality. The owner is ever present, and the service I received was excellent. I would definitely recommend this Cafe.
Cute and cozy with a delicious selection of sandwiches, toasties, paninis, and tea and cakes. Perfect for stopping in on foot when exploring the city or Cathedral.
Had a very nice all day breakfast. Good choices of both hot and cold foods as well as beverages. Ok sized tables but was a tight squeeze to fit 3 adults with food and drinks. Overall good experience.
Great place for early morning breakfast (7am). Very reasonable price. I had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast and a cappuccino. All really good. Photo is the lovely view from the window seats.
Lovely breakfast! He swapped my egg for black pudding plus toast & tea £8.95 was beautiful bacon & sausage too! Recommend!
Lovely ladies at Cafe Gate. Did not mind me talking to them about why I was at Chester. Good food great service.
Absolutely fantastic food! We had halloumi fries, loaded potato skins and a toasted tea cake. Excellent friendly service.
Lovely little quaint cafe with very good range of breakfast dishes which compared very well to hotel breakfasts but not as expensive. Had small outside area which we used, and people watched as we ate. Service was good too, and although not many tables we were not hurried. Would recommend!
Nice very little cafe for teas and coffee we had tea cake and drink, but had loads of other items to try to eat and looks quite good for the price, not many seats it’s down to pot luck there. They have tea pots all over the walls for display.
