Poor service, rude pharmacist. I visited the pharmacy today to purchase over the counter medication. The pharmacist that questioned me about my symptoms didn't seem very engaged with her role and was most unhelpful. The pharmacist said this was a symptom of my condition and that I would need to effectively 'ride it out' with no medication. I've since followed up online and according to reputable sources, you can purchase the medication I was requesting to the treat the symptoms of my condition. Not a great experience or service from a pharmacy which is typically great.

Can't really fault this place, service is always generally fast. So most of the time your in & out, which is what most prefer. All staff who have ever served me, have been really friendly with good customer service skills.

Gave 1 star , only because I wanted to write a review, don't usually bother with these things but just arrived home from waiting for my prescription at this chemist, I've been using this pharmacy for 20yrs ! But not anymore the service is absolutely appalling, 3pm told come back in 30 mins pharmacy on her dinner , what at 3pm , said ill wait well the girl front of shop has the worst bad chip on her shoulder, she's walks away from you mumbling insults to herself, the last time I was there sane girl dark hair , I was talking to a customer who was behind me , this assistant came flying in from the back of chemist, mouthing what you talking abut got something to say ! It was like wow !! I'm talking to a customer, front of shop service disgusting, obviously there expecting complaints regarding service because they have put a hand written sign on the front desk stating there will be waiting times just be patient, every prescription you go to pick up they always have a 30 minute excuse, but you can imagine why customers are getting annoyed, because straight away the first face you speak to has a face and attitude that tells you she doesn't want to be there and your just a hindrance, the whole staff today was absolutely appalling, but credit where it's due there is usually a blonde haired lady who is always polite , and helpful and welcoming, but today disgusting, appalling, vile un professional, staff , also I could not believe the advice the pharmacist gave a female patient who came in for her covid jab , to be told sorry the system is down , the lady explained you said the same yesterday , and told me to come back today , then the pharmacist said to the lady we'll you drive don't you make a appointment somewhere else , the lady explained I've tried but the website won't allow me to do so because I already have this appointment in the system , I couldn't believe what the the pharmacist told the lady to do, well go on another phone and use someone else's name book a appointment and have your jab in that name ! Well you can imagine the look on the face , this is a your medical records law binding medical documents, , the lady said surly you know you have to provide your nhs number , the pharmacist seemed to be embarrassed, that she forgot this what does that say about the pharmacist, advising people to give fraudulent information on there medical records and to be completelyokay as though is the norm, absolutely mind blowing what I've witnessed today at this pharmacy, for the sake of your blood pressure, and your health avoid this pharmacist, disgusting, every single part of the service of this place every single time you ask for your prescription, always a issue. System is down , medication not in stock , no pharmacist , pharmacist on lunch , I mean is this something that wells pharmacy accepts, and employ certain people, so unqualified to represent there business, reading the other reviews , are we all wrong and fibbers , well you don't need a PhD to diagnose, horrible unpleasant, unprofessional, work force , also what is extremely worrying, on a earlier prescription, that I picked up and had to wait along while apparently the prescription has to be checked double checked this being the medication is extremely addictive if not taken correctly, but I hold my hands up that at the time I had complete faith that I had the right medication and amount , so to be told it's been double checked, then getting home to take a tablet and think I'm sure there usually white tablets these were blue , well the medication prescribed was 10× 2mg tablets 20mg in all all to find my twice checked medication was in fact 10× 10mg tablets, 100mg in total, apparently this prescription was double checked , this is wells pharmacy Mottram, how can this be allowed to carry on like this , ???? Wells pharmacy group , do you say this is the way to run a pharmacist ???? Take a look at all reviews, every one same avenue!!!!!

Rubbish service, went to collect my prescription last week and they gave me an old prescription with the incorrect meds. I phoned as only realised when home and had to go back again once they realised they'd made a mistake. Today I rung to see if my prescription was ready, they had received it the day before, what a surprise they hadn't ordered the medicine in. Gave me a paper prescription so I could get some elsewhere. When i finally found a pharmacy with it in stock they told me Well hadn't cleared it off their system so they couldn't give me the prescription. I now need to wait until 9am tomorrow to get them to sort that out and then go back to the other pharmacy and hopefully be able to get the medicine i needed.this place is a shambles and i will be making a complaint

Not turned up with my BP tablets. If I have a stroke it's on their heads.

I've used this chemist for years as it's where my prescriptions go. It's such a small village chemist but I've never had any issues at all with them. I get a text when my prescription is ready and I'm only waiting a short time when I go in to collect. People need to understand patience and that the staff don't want people waiting. They are just very busy for a little chemist

Utterly useless as a local pharmacy to collect prescriptions from. The nearby doctors Awburn House defaults here with your prescriptions. It changed hands not long ago and it is now utterly, utterly useless. Every single time I go I am waiting 20-30 minutes for stuff that is supposedly *ready*. Orders are often incomplete requiring return visits. They have inadequate stock so many things have to be ordered. It takes them on average a week to get a prescription ready, and then you'll wait half an hour for them to give it you. I've spent enough hours of my life waiting here and making return visits for stuff they haven't got, or stuff they forgot to give me, or stuff that isnt *really* ready. I've changed to the nearby Tesco pharmacy in Hattersley. They have been inundated with people swapping they told me. Beware: Awburn House will attempt to put obstacles in your way to change pharmacy. Especially if you are digital. Maybe they get a kick back? Persevere. Force them to change your pharmacy away from these inept clowns. You have a right to do so. Vote with your £ (even if you dont pay, they get paid so it's still voting with your £).

Raging with the customer service I’ve just experienced. Gone in for some cough medicine, explained I’ve had a covid test and that my mum and my partner have all had a cold and I can feel one coming on myself, had a test this morning and the two ladies behind the counter told me to go for a “real” test as the lateral flow tests aren’t accurate. Then another lady appeared and said she doesn’t feel comfortable being around me and that I shouldn’t be out and mixing. So I shouldn’t be out and mixing because I can feel a cold coming on? Should I isolate for a week? I’ve had a negative test. I’ve never felt so humiliated in all my life. Are people not allowed colds anymore? Honestly I’m shocked. What is the point in selling medicines for coughs if this is the way you treat your customers who need a cough medicine? I’ll just go to tesco to get some medicine. Pathetic staff. I honestly can’t believe someone expects me to not be out and mixing because I have a feeling a cold is coming on? Even after having a negative test. Pathetic service.

Started using this pharmacy after moving to the area. I have a long-standing repeat prescription which was previously dispensed by a pharmacy in Hyde who can only be described as utterly useless. Coming to Well Pharmacy in Mottram (and changing doctors surgery to Amburn House) was a breath of fresh air. The pharmacy seems really well organised and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't fault them and grateful that they look after my medication now.
