Never have any items in stock. I go there maybe every 6 months for my pill and never ever ever have it in stock. I’ve changed pill 3 times while being here and have never had any of them. Always have to get the form printed and take it elsewhere. I also get a specific cream for my face that they never have in stock and both of these items are extremely common.

Ordered an emergency request via 111. explained that the request is for a Controlled drug and i'm aware it needs to be forwarded to a GP. Told by the pharmacist they don't refer Controlled Drugs to out of hours GP. Explained that if GP's are shut and a controlled drug request comes along they should refer as I'm a pharmacist and know the procedure. Pharmacist rudely told me "we dont refer Controlled Drugs you should know if you're a pharmacist. and I explained that the GPs are shut which is why the emergency is request. told me to wait for GP to open

I very rarely write a negative review especially of somewhere nhs related but I feel it really is necessary here. I understand the nhs is stretched at the moment and all are doing their best but as a patient we are also trying our hardest to be understanding. I have been using this pharmacy for close to a year, and have nearly exclusively negative experiences with them. The staff overall are extremely rude and uncooperative (despite what another reviewer has said, I have always been polite and friendly and the abrasive attitude that I have had from multiple staff in return is really upsetting). It is nearly always a 20 minute minimum wait no matter the time of day you go. Recently I went to get my prescription, was not given any indication of how long I’d be waiting, after 30 minutes I went up again as I felt that it was getting very long and the pharmacist had forgotten about me despite walking past me multiple times in that 30 minutes. No acknowledgment or apology. Earlier this year, I was given a dose of medication labelled as 10mg on the box but inside was 30mg doses (I did not notice for over a week as I decant it into a daily pill box). I raised this as a complaint as the side effects of this medication can be very serious, the pharmacy manager played it down and basically said it’s not a big deal because you’re fine. 3 times the dose I should have taken. I really would have appreciated a proper apology and feedback of how they would make sure this didn’t happen again. Another occasion I went in to request my adhd medication, the day before the pharmacist assured me it would be in stock the next day. It wasn’t. I was disappointed that I’d been told the wrong information, and the staff member Michele (who has always been really lovely I need to add) convinced me to call 111 to get an emergency prescription. I said a couple of times it wasn’t worth doing as it’s a controlled drug and she insisted I should try (again, I know this was from a good place) after 2 phone calls I of course was told I couldn’t get it through 111. When you’re relying on medication daily and get told the wrong thing twice about being able to get it, I can’t stress the mental distress that puts on you. There are so many occasions aside from above that I could add in. The last one I will note is this morning when I called up, was told information I knew contradicted what I was told previously, the person on the phone sighs in annoyance, checks with a colleague and confirms that they just told me the wrong thing. I only called as I’ve since moved across to boots in Heaton moor and needed something checking. The pharmacy really needs an overhaul, i know it is not an easy job but my reason for this review is the impact that all of these experiences together have on individual patients.

Well done to Grace and the team at Wells! Having used the pharmacy for many years I am incredibly saddened to read some of the negative reviews which, like the earlier lady reviewing, I think are very misplaced. I have always found the staff to be incredibly helpful and very courteous despite them working under pressure daily. Whilst waiting in the seated area I have often been witness to some very rude customers who behave extremely ignorantly when talking to the staff who deserve some respect and they certainly shouldn’t have to tolerate such verbal abuse. Keep up the good work guys!

I personally think these reviews are really unfair. Me and my partner both have repeat prescriptions here and a few of the full time staff know our faces now and guess what, we are always courteous to them, so they’re always courteous to us. You get what you give I’m afraid. All the reviews that say that staff are abrupt and rude, I’ve lived here 5 years and used this pharmacy and no one has ever been rude or abrupt with me or my partner. The behaviour of patients I’ve witnessed in recent months has deteriorated so much. It’s the NHS, you’re not the only person that exists, sit down for 10 minutes and wait patiently, then say thank you, and have a nice day. How hard is that? I want to personally thank all the staff for their hard work and putting up with the behaviour of impatient and entitled people on a daily basis

I don't mind the long queues, I get that it gets busy at times. But everytime picking up a repeat prescription and being told to sit and wait 30minutes cos it's never ready. I am always calm mannered and wait quietly. I understand they get busy some people may be a stressful to serve but the lady serving was very abrupt and rude, which is why I'm absolutely shocked. Now hit a record of an hour waiting due to a mess up.

Lovely pharmacy and the manager lady Hira is great. She has done a fab job and is always very helpful. They are so busy all the the time but still take time for each patient.

I have been a customer since moving to Heaton Moor last year. The staff are all so friendly and efficient and despite them being so busy all the time they always have a smile on their face. Very knowledgeable and helpful when you have a question regarding your prescriptions too. If you live in the area I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The staff at Well Pharmacy are friendly and hard-working; always helpful in finding solutions to any problems I have and will go the extra mile to make sure things are ready for when they're needed. The only problem I have had is when a script hasn't been sent through from the GP which is no fault of the pharmacy. Wait times have sometimes been long at peak times (especially Friday afternoons) but this is expected anywhere.

I love this pharmacy, all the staff are so friendly to me, they work so hard especially with the doctors tripling in size. Yes you do have to wait sometimes but they have a hell of a lot of patients. I think all of the staff are fab, cheeky, entertaining and are high up on my estimation.
